Chapter 5 - Urban Woods

Start from the beginning

I put my head in my hands as I screamed out of frustration. I know I had to tell her before she drives me mental. “Fine, if I tell you, will you promise not to taunt me about it?” I asked, biting my lip anxiously.

“I promise.”

“Fine,” I grabbed my laptop from my room and logged on to show it to Sally, when I saw a new message from Chris. I ignored it as I showed her the interaction between me and Chris. After, she read our conversation, she looked at me confused, “And you were cleaning... because...”

I sighed, “Because I was avoiding messaging him, I don't know why his words affected me so much.” I brushed my hands through my black hair, “I'm trying to figure it out.”

“Well, let me tell you something,” Sally pointed at the laptop as she continued, “That guy and you belong with each other, you're so alike.”

I looked at her, shocked with my mouth wide open, “Sally, are you okay?” I asked as I touched her forehead to see if she had a temperature.

“I am perfectly fine,” she slapped my hand away. “I'm being serious, the way you guys are interacting. I can just tell that something is going on here. You might not believe me but trust me.”

“Whatever, but what makes you think we are alike from this short interaction between us?” I asked, intrigued to know why she said that. Urgh, why do I even care?

“I don't know, I just have this feeling,” she shrugged.

I looked at her like she grew two heads, “You just stated that based on your feeling. Urgh, you are so unbelievable,” I said moodily.

“Oh, somebody was intrigued to know. Anyway, are you not going to reply back to lover boy?”

I grit my teeth as I spoke each word, slow and threatening for her to understand, “Chris is not lover boy!”

“Fine whatever,” she rolled her eyes. “Well are you?” she asked again.

“I don't know,” I said simply as I took a strand of my hair and started twirling it around my finger.

“Go for it, so what, his words affect you so much, maybe you could figure that out while you continue this road of interaction.”

I thought about what she said and agreed with her. I put the laptop on my lap and clicked on his new message to read.

From: Chris

Yes, you do make yourself clear (I'm trembling from fear) but my case is that there is always a first for everything so... I think I will continue calling you Miss Dreamy :) The nickname suits you.

Me a rapist? Creepy stalker? Honestly you really think that...well that isn't a bad idea... I am on a dating profile and it’s easier to target women to satisfy my needs so if I ever need to the urge to rape or maybe stalk... I guess YOU could be my first victim...
