Chapter two: Angel of Darkness

"Ciran?!" One of them, a blonde girl shouted. My eye twitched and I chose to ignore the obvious mispronunciation of my name. I leaned my hip against the door frame felling more confident now that I'm on my territory. "What?" I questioned raising a thick brow.

One of them seemed a bit off, they smelt of wet dog and woods...in fact they all smelt like that? I tilted my head to the side and my hand shot out sharply grabbing Alpha as he pushed pass me and tried to attack the students. He snarled at the seemingly bristling teens but calmed as I stroked his fur and whispered to him soothingly. I looked back up at them curiously and some of them seemed to be a little tense now that they saw my first dog.

"What type of dog is that?" Alvin, a football player and brother to the main 'leader' of the posse, asked. I took my time answering them which seemed to piss most of them off a bit. "A wolf-dog" I spoke casually inwardly grinning at their expressions.

The cool September air was chilly against my exposed skin and I felt Goosebumps traveling up arms. Most of the teens looked unaffected by the cold which intrigued me, but they kept shuffling in spot as if they were waiting for something, I sigh startling them. "Would you like to come in?" I asked really hoping they would decline and run off into a bear trap or something, that would be the day. Unfortunately for me and my bad luck they all nodded, with the exception of little mister leader-man.

"Any of you want coffee or something?"

I tapped my foot on the floor lightly waiting for a reply. All the girls wanted water and three of the guys wanted coffee, and some just refused, which was way beyond rude. Alpha and Luna were like shadows they stood at my side always and wouldn't let the posse out of their sights, which would probably earn some questions, so not looking forwards for the future. While I was preparing the drinks I couldn't help but wonder if they were here for a particular reason? And how in the world did they find my house in the first place? I mean it's so deep in the woods quite the distance away from the small town we live in, or in my case by. My wings ached for a few minutes promoting me to lay my head in my arms in throbbing pain, this happens occasionally, because of the fact I can't let them out much. After a while the pain fades and I take the coffee off of the boiler which was whistling.

I walked into the living room alerting the strangely tense teens to my arrival. The leader-boy was sitting with the posture of a king surrounded by the girls who were acting like he was some kind of meat, I almost started to laugh it was too funny. As I passed the drinks out I decided that out of all of them Alan wasn't so bad, he politely took his drink and thanked me asking if I needed help I smiled and shook my head. The whitette insisted and I had fun getting him to bring the girls their water, why was this funny you may ask? Well they were paying too much attention to that attention-whore of a man and so when he tried to give them their waters they ignored him and/or snapped at him for disrupting their staring. I gently took Alan's arm attracting piercing stares as I told him not to worry about it and just to put it on the coffee table centering the room.

"So" I started gaining their attention, "why are you here anyway?" The leader, Mark, stood up pushing aside the fawning ladies as he strode up to me, 'he's way to close' I thought recoiling at the smell of his rancid breath, I coughed swiping my hand in the air by my face In disgust. "Do you ever brush your teeth, or take breath mints at least?!" The comment earned me glares from the posse and a chuckling Alan in the background.

It was silent and I felt oddly annoyed at the constant staring, it was like he was waiting for me to drop dead of something. I raise an eyebrow, "I'll take that as a 'no I don't.'"

He growled an inhuman rumbling sound. I narrowed my eyes, so I'm not dealing with human children I inwardly sighed, great. I crossed my arms glaring, my silver eyes glowing eerily causing his eyes to widen. 'That's right bitch I am not human either' I thought smugly.

He backed up a bit bumping into his brother Alvin, "What are you?" he whispered. I chuckled and leaned on the window sill, the picture of calmness, "What do you think I am?" He stiffened with anger and advanced on me a dark look in his eyes, shaking. My pets stepped in the way and transformed back into their original forms, fire pulsating along the cracks in their black fur, bones peeked out from their skin and long tails swished angrily behind them. "Hellhounds" Alan awed, I tilted my head eying the small male why wasn't he afraid? I opened my mouth to ask but-

"Ciaran!" A heavy weight pounced onto me knocking me to the floor with a loud thump and a pained groan.
