Third Person Point of View
It had been weeks since Mae realized that everything with Luke was just a silly dream, but she has yet to overcome the sensation of how real it felt. Over the years, she's been known to have vivid dreams, and no matter how realistic they seemed at the time, none of them could ever compare to this one.

She'd been in a daze when a light knock sounded through her ears. As she mumbled a soft phrase allowing the person permission to enter, she closed out of her web browser that was showing Luke's Twitter profile.

A deep sigh escaped her chapped lips as she glanced into the ocean blue eyes of her best friend Ashton.

"Hey Ash," she greeted, quickly overcoming her rude and loud exertion of breath. As Ashton moved further into Mae's bedroom, she couldn't help but smile at the thought of her closest friend sharing a name with the drummer of 5 Seconds of Summer. It just so happens that their love for the band was a major part of them becoming friends.

"Mae, you've got to stop moping," her friend said as she slid off her leather jacket, and sat on the bed.

"Who said I was moping?" Mae inquired, joining Ashton on the edge of the plush mattress.

"Uhm, I just did. Besides you haven't left the house in weeks, which further proves my point," she smirked.

Mae narrowed her eyes, but she couldn't help but agree. It's true that she hasn't ventured outside the comfort of her house lately, but in her defense the weather has been pretty gloomy, so it was actually a good idea to stay holed up inside.

Even though she knew there was a bigger reason as to why she's been so secluded, she wasn't entirely sure if she should say it aloud. Whenever she thinks about it she has a sense of embarrassment course through her veins, but if there was one person who would understand -- it would be Ashton.

Just as Mae convinces herself to admit the truth, Ashton speaks up and throws Mae completely off track.

"Well, as your best friend I'm obligated to get you back into the real world," she smiled.

If there's one thing Ashton Felicia Irving is known for, it's her bright, contagious smile. Well, that and her infectious laugh. Those two things only add to Mae's desire of setting her up with her male self -- otherwise known as Ashton Fletcher Irwin. And if she knew Luke like she did in her dream, she'd be more than able to do so.

Since Mae had gone deep into her thoughts yet again, Ashton lightly slapped her, bringing her back into reality. Although, Mae is certain that's not what Ashton was intending when she mentioned 'bringing her back into the real world.'

"We're going somewhere exciting!" Ashton pulled Mae up to her feet very quickly, and within seconds the two girls were off to Ashton's idea of an exciting place, wherever that may be.

She wouldn't inform Mae on their destination no matter how much the red head begged. Not even a simple clue was provided.

After almost an hour of driving and forty five minutes of begging, they had finally arrived. As Mae's deep blue eyes took in their surroundings, she had an idea of where they were, and truth be told she's quite scared to know what's hiding up Ashton's leather sleeve.

She glances over to her spontaneous best friend and all she sees is a devilish smirk decorating her freckled face.

"Are you kidding me?" Mae is completely astonished. She can't fathom that Ashton would bring her here, of all places.
