Tonight is the night. I'm so nervous, but also kinda excited. This is my first date in over five years. I glance at the alarm clock on my nightstand, it read 7:37. Only twenty three minutes until he gets here. I finish my makeup and go to my closet to pick something to wear. I decide on a light blue dress. It's a knee length A-line style, in a silky material with no sleeves. I grab a pair of white peep toe wedges that will go with it perfectly. I look at myself in my floor length mirror, I did my hair in loose waves. I smooth out my dress and peak at the clock again. It's now 7:55, I'm getting really nervous now. I take a deep breath an close my eyes as I let it out. When I open my eyes I find Casey standing in my doorway.

"Hey buddy." I smile and open my arms, he runs to me.

"Mommy, why you wook so nice?!" He asks me curiously.

"Well, I'm going out with a...friend." I hesitantly answer.

"Oh, wif auntie juwee?" He prods

"No honey, another friend." I state.

He nods his head as if he understands. I smile and we stand up to go downstairs. When we reach the stairs I hear the doorbell. My forgotten nerves spring to life again and I slowly continue down the stairs. Just as we reach the bottom of the stairs my brother, Jace, turns the corner.

"Hey, your date is here." He smirks.

"Okay..." I breath.

"Hey, Don't be nervous. Whit, you look great and you're gonna have an amazing night!" Jace grins and takes Casey.

"Okay, I'll be home by 12. Casey, be good for Uncle Jace." I whisper and kiss Casey's cheek.

I make my way to the front door, and find Derrick looking at some family pictures. He looks amazing in a black suit with a crisp white dress shirt underneath.  He smiles and I feel my heartstop for a moment.  I smile back and relax a little bit.

"Whitney, you look..." He mumbles.

"I look..." I ask with a grin.

"Beautiful." He finishes.

"Well thank you, Derrick." I smile and grab my purse.

We go outside and he leads the way to his car.  He opens my door, I smile at him and get in.  He walks around and hops in too.  He seems nervous for a split second, but it vanishes as quickly as it came.  We drive for about twenty minutes, then pull up in front of Rossi's, one of the most expensive restraunts in town.  Derrick helped me onto the sidewalk, and we went inside.  We walked right past the maitre d without even looking at him.  As we continued through Rossi's, I stared at everything, I had never been here before.  He took me to a table off in a corner.  He pulled out my chair and the sat down across from me.  I smiled hesitantly and wondered how he could afford this.

"This place is nice." I smiled shyly.

"Yeah, It's one of my favorite places to eat." He answered.

"Oh, do you come here often?!" I curiously ask.

"Oh yeah! My dad knows the owner." He smirks as if he's in on a joke.

"Hmm...I see." I mumble.

"So, what are you thinking of getting?!" He questions.

"I think want the chicken alfredo." I reply, gadging his reaction.

"Mmm...I think I'm gonna get that too." He smiles.

Before I can respond our waitress appears. She looks to be about my age, tall, skinny, in a short black skirt and a white button down shirt. She walks confidently. When she stops at our table she smiles politely at me, then turns to Derrick.
