Oy vyey! After a year! I've finally updated! Sorry for not being active for over a year, personal things and academics have been my priority. But yeah, I really want to apologize. Anyway, enjoy this chapter!
It was Saturday so the alarm bell doesn't work to separate me and my bed. We get to wake up whatever time we choose. And if only Eleanor didn't wake us up, I'd still be in deep slumber, peaceful and making out with my bed.
When the boys and I got out of the cabin, we noticed the orange and yellow strips of paper decorating our cabin with happy and summery vibe. I looked around and only a couple of cabins were decorated. Luckily, there was Georgina to explain what was happening. She and the other girls from her cabin were talking with each other, carefully planning and pointing at our cabin.
I approached and smiled at the four other girls behind her. "Good morning, ladies. What's up with that?" I pointed at our cabin and at the other cabins that were half decorated as well.
"I bet it's one of those new things that came up while we were gone." Victor added, walking nearer to the brunette that was holding an orange and yellow crepe paper and scissors. Her hair was short and was perfectly framing her face, making her cheekbones look visible.
Georgina closed her notepad and clicked the button of her pen. "Oh, I'm guessing, you didn't hear the announcement last night. Where were you anyway?" She pouted; her lips were pink as well as her cheeks, adding color to her pretty face. I noticed she tied her Fourth of July hairdo in a messy bun.
"Hiding from Eleanor." It was somewhat true. Bradley, Victor and I spent the night inside our cabin: playing cards, scrabble and other board games Louis and Hermes brought in with them. We actually got to know the two and we sort of talked about the piece that we'll be playing at the Camp Frolics.
She laughed, "Right. The cake."
"And we're sorry." Said the other brunette girl who was with Bradley. Good God! She has big and bouncy... heart! 'Boobs' whispered by the perverted part of my being.
"For?" I asked before my mind creates another scene with that girl in my head.
"For letting the girls in and put hair conditioner in your cabin." The girl with big heart responded as Bradley, Victor and I glanced at Georgina in confusion.
"Okay, before things get confusing," Georgina broke in, "Mrs. Rosenberg announced last night that she'll be having a contest. Each cabin gets to pick another cabin to beautify. And by next Saturday, the winner will be announced. So, we picked your cabin, because it's the nearest one from ours and since I know you guys since forever. I know exactly how you wanted your cabin to look like." She has a point and I would have agreed with her anyway. "You can start decorating ours anytime you want."
"Anyway, we've been decorating your cabin since 7am and Eleanor asked if it was okay to help them get back at you guys. So we agreed. I mean, come on, the cake prank yesterday was a bit of embarrassing for Eleanor. Why would you guys do that?" Georgina wrinkled her forehead and folded her arms across her chest.
"She colored our nails and that was embarrassing for us too, you know." Victor replied, helping the brunette girl cut strips of paper.
"But did anyone notice the nail polish on your nails?" Georgina knew how to get to our hearts and kill us with guilt.
I knew where it was going so I had a moment of hesitation before answering, "No."
"And may I ask if you have any idea why she would color your nails?" Georgina sounded like an MBI agent right now, with the notepad and the pen in her hand. The only things missing were the dark room, a table and that flickering light on top of me.
