Damnit. Rainbow ran from the window as a crack of lightning flashed across the sky. She hurried to her bed and plopped on it, bidding under her covers like a child. Applejack walked into the room in her pajamas with hot cocoa in hand. "Dash?" She poked the shivering heap of blankets. Rainbow jumped, pulling the covers up. "Rainbow, what are you doing in there?" She watched the rainbow haired teen shiver at the sight of the lightning and thunder. AJ chuckled to herself, sitting down next to Dash. "There's nothing to be afraid of, Dashie." She smiled and pulled her closer. "As long as Ah'm here, you won't get even touched by that lightning." She nuzzled her girlfriend's cheek lovingly. As they leaned in to kiss, the thunder erupted and Dash hid under the blankets again. Applejack chuckled.
