we pretend--
we pretend
to be o m n i s c i e n t
when our knowledge
is limited to
histrionics.
we flaunt--
we flaunt nothing
because we're so
blinded
by our delusions
of perfection.
we hate--
we hate anything
and everything
that doesn't
fit the description
of o r d i n a r y.
because in the end,
aren't we all
c o n s e r v a t i v e s ?
aren't we all
naïve little
beings who
despise
c h a n g e ?
as much as we'd
hate to admit it,
we're all just
empty vessels with
superficial wisdom.
