The runaway bride and the boy in the beanie.

Chapter Two-So we meet again.

"Josh"She gasped,barely being able to do anything else.Joshua Matthews,her first and one true love.Maya stood back up right and they both just stared into each others eyes without saying another word to one another,Josh's hands still wrapped securely around her waist.The sound of a door opening in the distance made them break out of their trance.
"Quickly,hide!" Maya pulled Josh by his arm whilst leading him into an alley behind the church.Maya could tell Josh was already bewildered when he saw her in a wedding dress.Now she was dragging him behind a dumpster.
"So Maya how have you been?"Josh asked whilst rubbing the back of his neck.
Maya couldn't help but go weak at the knees for him every time Josh did that signature move.
"Oh well you know.Nothing much just running out of my wedding because I didn't love the man I was marrying and then running into the guy I have liked since I was 16 who is also my best friends room mate and uncle.Josh began to chuckle at the sarcastic remark but got cut off by the sound of feet heading straight towards them.
"Oh no who is it?"Maya asked.You could hear that she was scared in her voice.

"Maya?Josh?What are you guys doing behind a dumpster and Josh why are you even here?"Phew it was just Riley.
"We will explain later but for now can we just get a cab and leave here?"Maya was now getting impatient and was even more cold than before.
After the coast was clear they snuck out and Josh hailed a cab for the three of them to get into.
"Do you have anywhere to go tonight?I'm sure Riley will be fine with you staying over at ours for the night."
Maya smiled at the kindness Josh was showing her and also the warmth of the cab made her mood ten times better.
"Oh yes please,I need to change out of this dress and get away from this whole town.Riley is it ok with you?Oh yeah and I'm really sorry about running out I just couldn't do it."
Typical Maya!Eventhough she had just ran out of her wedding she still cared about Riley more than herself.Riley agreed and Josh began to tell the girls why he was outside the church in the first place.It went a little something like this:
"Okay Josh tell us why you where outside of the church?"Riley basically began to threaten Josh so then he would tell the girls the truth.
"Well I was coming back from the job agency that works along side my job because they said they had some amazing news for me.It turns out I have got a job in New York and I start in a week.They said they will give me an apartment and let me take people with me if I want.Anyway I was walking past on the other side of the street when I noticed a beautiful young woman in a wedding dress running down the steps.I began to cross the road to see if she was okay and then I realised that it was Maya.At that point I was running across the road and I got to her just in time to stop her from falling and then well we are here in this cab now."

For the rest of the cab ride Maya snuggled into Josh's chest to keep herself warm and Josh couldn't help but smile.Maybe this was the second chance they both needed to move on in life!Maybe Maya and Riley could follow him to New York.Maybe....
