Down to Earth

You're out of this world, but so down to Earth. You're rare. Only a wise man would know how to care for such a beauty. When you exposed your soul it was as if I was staring at my reflection. Your vibe appeared to match mine. You showed me your heart and I had the strongest urge to touch it. To hold it in the palms of my hands and never let another even get a glimpse of it. You read aloud the thoughts that invaded your beautiful mind, and I stored them into my memory. To hold as a reminder of the pain you've endured. I shed tears, saddened by the thought of such a golden soul once feeling like a measly pebble. But you're golden. If you gave me the honor of holding on to you, you'd be kept close to my heart like a necklace worn by a King. I'll keep you on my mind, always in my thoughts, rested upon my head like a crown. I'd cherish you, like the Queen that you are, for someone whose so down to Earth, you surely are one hell of a star.
