Home sweet home

19 4 5

Time and time again I doubted the

possibility of ever reaching our

destination.  I was fearful throughout

our journey. Day in day out, I worried

that the outcome would be fatal.

Each time we prepared ourselves for the

worst; but nothing happened. We still

roamed free as we journeyed onward.

With little food and no shelter from the

beating rain we survived, only by the

hope of reaching safety.

To this day I still can't believe we're here;

safe and sound; finally on safe and secure.

Finally accepted, finally in a place

we can call home.

I won't forget what happened, it's far

too difficult to erase from mind. It will

always leave it's, imprint, a nightmare

in my mind.

But now I can live in peace. Safe and sound.

Forever at happiness in our new surroundings.

No fear for tomorrow, for next week or next

month. We shall be content with each

passing hour, for happiness must be appreciated.
