Myna's POV

Their...home was astonishing! The amazingly long and huge decorated corridor eventually led up to a giant cavern and was nothing in comparison to the cave's size.

The rock was made of obsidian, with the occasional rusty red streak in the rock. It was as if the cavern was in constant jeopardy of a storm, eternal lightning flashing through the midnight stone.

I could not see the roof but I could easily see through the gloom the many, some large some small, tunnels leading of at all angles out of the main cave.

Dead centre of the expanse were a large group of people chattering noisily in the same clothing as Travis and his clan had had on.

I was scared as we passed them and I cringed into Master's side, but he just stepped away with a disgusted look on his face.

Hurt and terrified, I was out of my league. Everyone went silent as soon as they noticed my approach. When they noticed Alistair, all bowed their heads in synchronisation, I was very creeped out.

The bright light emitting from the walls hurt my eyes and I glanced down to the floor. The rock I was standing on did not seem to be alight, yet it glowed with darkness, a refreshing sight after so much eye-pain.

I was walked through many tunnels and left in a dead end. Alone. Right at the end of the tunnel, the rock seemed to have been scooped out to form a hole. I poked my head through the tiny opening.

The sides were steeply curved. There was a ledge jutting out from the back of the wall that had not been carved very well and was very rough and curved.

Was I supposed to sleep here? The ledge was only half a meter wide and one meter long, there was no room to sleep anywhere in the hovel.

It would be a hassle getting in as well since the entrance was small and rounded. The thin rim of dock was very sharp.

The tunnel was very dark though, and I was starting to get scared. In the hovel it was light, though cramped. I squeezed through the hole and scraped a lot of skin off the sides of my arms in the process.

I could only stand in the rock bubble if my whole back was bent at a right angle as the height and width of my new home was only one meter, like the ledge.

I sat down, weary and confused by today and all the sudden changes. I was already getting cramps from the curvature of my cave.

I curled upon a fetal position and cried myself to sleep. I thought such blasphemy before my eyes closed to innocence, that my evil father Alistair didn't love or care for me.

I forgot all about my most recent troubles as I dreamt fitfully about my life before Granger. I was miserable now. Of course I'm happy now, Master's here! Of course...

Granger's POV

I sat on the bench impatiently, unwilling to be sitting there doing nothing. I fidgeted withe the slats of wood, my fingers aching for something to do.

I pulled the crumpled, worn piece of paper from my denim jacket pocket and attempted to smooth it out. My scrawly writing was almost intelligible from a mixture of my hurry and the crinkles of being read over and over again.

I checked one last time the date, time, place my 'friends' and I had agreed upon. I was here, so why weren't they? Everyone was coming from the same direction, and Quentin was giving everyone a lift.

They could be held up I suppose, but why wouldn't they ring me? Dreadful thoughts floated around my mind, like buzzing bees but they kept stinging me and every time hurt more than the last.

They could have been attacked, killed, hurt, abducted, burgled...all my fault. I had to ask them to come, it was my only choice...

Of course Myna didn't actually want to go with Alistair, the evil tyrant of the Vampyre world! Right? I knew her so well, but then again I hardly new her at all if she was the type of person to turn evil at the blink of an eye.

There was nothing that I knew about that could cause her to change sides: from good to evil. She must know I love her, that I did really want her, that she was worth all this planning and effort.

I glared at the stormy skys, cross unfairness of life. I was also sad at the poor quality of Myna's existence. I could hear the soft pitter patter of rain falling a few miles away.

I could sense a storm brewing, sending a warning to all of the coming battle. I was going to war.
