--Catherine--

"But! Mom---" I was cut off as mom looked at me, sadness filled her eyes.

"Please, Catherine. Listen to what your mother has to say, it's the best for you" she said, weakly smiling as she stares at the glass window. It feels like she's replaying the memories, memories that consist no sadness and frustration.

My eyes were starting to get watery, my tears forming.
But I had to held it in. I told my dad to be make myself strong.

I sadly sighed, looking at the floor. "Okay" I muttered.

She looks at me surprise, but shooks her head off as she came closer to hug me.

"I'm sorry, but it's the best" she said, tightening the hug.

"I know--" I was cut off By myself as one tear escaped my eyes, and another then it wouldn't stop. I was sobbing as mom soothed me, brushing my hair softly.

"I'm really sorry"

---

"Were now arriving in New York, please buckle your seatbelts"

I slowly sit straight and stared at the window, this is it.
I thought to myself as I tuck in my seat belt.
I grab my phone and turned in on, only to see myself in a mess. My hair was standing everywhere, and my eyes red.
It wasn't because of how I woke up, it was because of mom.

The plane slowly started landing as we arrive at the airport,
As it was safe to land, everyone started grabbing their luggage. Me as the same I grab my luggage and my purple dotted knapsack. I started standing up as I followed the very crowded plane, as I went outside I took a deep breath and stared at the sky.

It was a bright sunny day here in New York, or should I say a City who never sleeps, it was everything I imagined, the buildings the shops-- everything! But their was still one thing I felt, like I should be happy right now but I'm missing something. No more like I miss someone.

I grab my luggage tighter and started walking ahead, my Aunt already texted me so I have no bother to be lost in a place, especially like this big.

As always, the red string stayed in my index finger, tide in a ribbon.

I continued wailing anywhere or everywhere I could go, but yay for me. I'm lost. Totally lost.

It was just a few seconds and BAM! I'm lost, what a great coincidence. Or what a great punishment.

As I continued to discourage myself, I stumbled upon a familiar figure, I couldn't properly see his face cause he was facing at the back. But his hair seemed familiar, like ive seen
Him somewhere, But I shrug it off staring at the phone infront of me I realized Aunt Whena sent me a text.
Saying that she's already waiting at the airport.

I miserably sighed as I turned around, looking at the place and walk back to where I was before.

"Catherine!" A familiar voice shouted, and my mouth curled Into a smile.

I turned around and saw Aunt Whena walling straight at my direction, Waving as I eagerly ran to her direction.
Aunt Whena stops walking as she looks up at me, head to toe.

"My! You've grown! Last time you came here you were this.... this tall!" She exclaimed, her hand facing side wards and aligned with my thigh.

I chuckled, giving her one quick hug and then letting go.

"We should eat first" Aunt Whena suddenly said, looking at her watch and then look at me.

"Don't worry, I already ate" I assured her, Waving my hands indicating a no.

She quirks a brow but then smiled. "Okay then" she nodded.
As soon as she started walking I followed her.

"Um, Aunt Whena.... I don't think it likes me..." I stuttered, holding the tree branch for my dear life. After awhile Aunt Whena told me that she'll introduce me to her friend, but it turns out that she went somewhere, leaving her scary bulldog. This is where I'm exactly in. In a tree where your holding a branch for dear life.

"Oh come on!" Aunt Whena gushes, rubbing the bulldog's head.

You look back at the bulldog and deeply sighed, much more Better then staying here for the rest of my life. I thought, I'm overreacting so what? All I have to do is go down but I'm just blocks away.

come on Catherine! I gathered much confidence in me but before I could even land, my trance was cut off as I heard an unfamiliar deep voice. Making me fall in surprise I closed my eyes, waiting for the pain to erupt. But surprisingly nothing happened and I opened my eyes only to see two mascular arms wrap around my waist.

Blue sea eyes wavering, I shook my thoughts before it could get any worse standing up in the process. Great, I can feel my face completely red.

"I'm sorry, and thank you" I mumbled, looking away from him. I'm not used to talking to people so I'd rather ignore their stares until I'm comfortable looking back at them.

I could feel him nod his head, suddenly feeling another presence a female voice breaks the quick silence, I turned back around only to see a middle age woman who was holding bags.

"My, you must be Catherine?" She ask, smiling at me as Aunt Whena nodded her head, she chuckles and starts walking towards me.

She gave me a quick hug and backs away.
"Catherine, meet Nick, Nick meet Catherine" she quickly introduce, giving us space but we did nothing at all. Silence filled the air until Nick blinks like he came back to the real world. He quickly kisses her mom's cheeks, grabbing his phone with him as he headed straight to his car.

"See you later! And you must be......Precious!" He quickly said, unlocking the door of his car and getting in.

"It's Catherine!" I shouted, glaring at the cars figure.
