Chapter 19

I woke up the next morning to beautiful red looking down at me.

"Good morning Kitten." Sebastian said with a smile.

"Morning" I said as I sat up and stretched my arms.

"How did you sleep?" He asked as he sat up.

"Good, why are you asking?" I said as I got up and when to my closet.

"You moved around a lot and kept mumbling things last night." He said as I looked through my closet. I then felt his strong arms wrap around my waist.

"That's strange" I turned around in his arms to face him. He bent down and kissed me. I put my arms around his neck and pulled myself closer to him. I opened my mouth to say something when I hear Ciel yelling. "Who is that kid yelling at this time?" I said as I let go of Sebastian and walked out the door. I ran down to Ciel's room and went to.  Prince Soma was holding Ciel in his arms bridal style. I tilted my head in confusion. "What the bloody hell is going on here?" I asked.

"We're going out" Soma said to me. Sebastian walked in fully clothed in his normal attire.

"Pardon me. My apologize, but my masters schedule for the day is filled with study and work." Sebastian said politely.  Soma looked disappointed for a moment. Then his eyes shot to me.

"What about her?" He asked with excitement.

"I'm going to be helping Ciel with his study's. I also have work as well." I said as politely as I could. "Now would you please put my cousin down so he can get ready for the day?" I asked in a demanding voice. He set Ciel down as quickly as possible. " Now if you would excuse me. I'm going to get dressed." I said before turning and walking out, down the hall to my room. I got dressed in a pretty gray dress, then met Ciel and Sebastian in the piano room. Ciel was practicing the violin. I sat back and listened as he played. I never realized how good he was until now. Then out of nowhere I heard strange humming sounds. I turned my head to saw a giant statue on top of the piano. Agni and Soma were bent down like they were praying. I also saw Lau. I stood up and walked over to they, Sebastian and Ciel followed.

"What are they doing?" Ciel asked.

"They are praying to their God." I said with a simple smile.

"To me it merely looks like the statue of a woman carrying a severed head, wearing a necklace of severed heads, and dancing madly on top of a mans stomach." Sebastian said.

"I thinks that Kali, a goddess in the Hindu culture. She's the goddess of power." I said as I admired the statue.

"That's right" Agni said. "Long ago, a demon rashly challenged her to a fight. Naturally, she was victorious. However, afterword her destructive urges were not quelled, and she abandoned herself to destruction and carnage.  But then, to protect the earth her husband, Shiva threw himself at her feet! Treading on her husband with her unclean feet brought Kali back to her senses, and peace returned to the world." Agni explained as he showed us pictures that he had wit him. I looked at the head that Kali was holding.

"And that head she holds?  That's the head of the demon right?" I asked.

"Correct!" Agni smiling at me.

"And she carries it as proof of her victory?" I asked.

"Yes that is true." Agni said.

"Oriel, how do you know this much about Kali?" Ciel asked. I giggled slightly.

"Do you remember all that time I spent studying years ago?" He nodded. "I was studying all the different cultures and religions. Kali was one of my favorites." I said as I looked at him. He nodded his head as he stared at Agni and Soma.

"Now, then. Since we're done praying, it's time to go out!" Soma said with excitement. He grabbed Ciel and started dragging him to the door.

"I told you, I'm busy!" Ciel yelled as he squirmed in Soma's arms. I tried very hard to contain my laughter.

"Soma will you please let him go? He does have a lot to do today." I said. Soma let go of Ciel reluctantly. "Come Ciel time for fencing." I said. We went to the room where all of our fencing gear is. Soon enough Sebastian and Ciel were fencing. I stood back and watched. Soma annoyed Ciel to no end. Ciel challenged Soma to a fencing match to shut him up. Soma hit Ciel in the leg, which had no effect on Ciel. Then Ciel went to hit Soma. Then everything slowed down. Everything around me went in slow motion. I noticed Agni was about to get in the way and hurt Ciel. Somehow I had made my way in front of Ciel. Everything went back to it's normal speed. I grabbed Agni's arm to stop him. I slide my foot under him causing him to fall. Everyone stared at me shocked.

"H-how?" Agni asked as he laid on the floor. I put my hand out to help him up. He took it and stood up.

"I'm just as protective of my cousin as you are of your prince." I said emotionless. I turned to Ciel. "Are you alright?" I asked concerned.

"Yes I'm fine." He said. He glanced over to Sebastian. I looked over at him. Surprise filled his face. He then gave me a devilish smile. I rolled my eyes. "I think it's time we go and get to work. Sebastian would you mind getting us something to eat and some tea, and bring it to the study?" I asked.

"Yes, of course." He said. He walked by me and stopped. "That was quite impressive." He whispered in my ear. I smirked at his comment. He left the room. I grabbed Ciel's hand and pulled him to the study.

"What the bloody hell was that?" Ciel asked loudly after I shut the door.

"I have no idea. Everything slowed down around me. I saw Agni about to hit you, then I ended up stopping him. I guess with the seal almost broke my demon ability's will appear more." I said as I sat down in a chair.

"I suppose." He said as he stared at the ground. I could tell something was bothering him.

"Ciel, whats wrong?" I asked.

"It's nothing." He said as he walked over to the deck and sat in the chair.

"Ciel, please don't be this way. I know something is bothering you." He looked up at me. His eye glazed over as if he were about to cry.

"What will happen after the seal brakes?"

"Well I'll be half demon of course."

"I know that. I mean are you going to be a different person? Are you going to leave? And what will happen when my contract is complete? Are you going to let Sebastian have my soul?" He asked me. Tears ran down his face. I got up and walked over to him. I bent down to be at eye level with him and cupped his face with my hands.

"I'm not going to leave you, I promise. I'm not sure what I will do when you contract is complete but Sebastian won't have your soul. I promised your parents that you would live a long life, and that I would do what ever I could to make you happy.  I intend to keep my promise." I pulled him into a hug and he cried in my arms.
