Chapter 2: Friend

  I was sitting there just staring
at those big beautiful eyes that caught me in a daze. "Hey." It took me a minute there to load.

"D-did you just talk?!" A dragon spoke!! I've never read about this in any of my books!

-KURAI'S POV-

"Where am i?...." I said as i came out of my warm egg-shell, wow cool!
I was in a big oversized egg with weird figures in it. Everything in this place was weird, i didn't recognize most of the things in there except
my broken egg on the ground and the fire in this weird box thing.

I was starving, so i ate the delicious hot looking fire in the box. It wasn't as good as i thought it was probably because it wasn't as good as my moms. Anyways where is my mommy?.....mommy!? I sat on the warm fuzzy red grass on the ground and had a breakdown my mommy wasn't by my side where she always was.

The last things i remembered from my mommy was when she told me,

"I love you my little spark, now it's time for bed."

"What! But mommy i want to stay up longer!"

"Okay but only fo-"

My eyes widened and filled with terror as my mommy was shot by a very powerful magic.
"MOMMY!!" I flew over to my mommy with hot boiling tears running down my eyes, "MOMMY ARE YOU OKAY!!!???"

"Ku-kurai, listen to mommy now. Something bad is about to happen.... i need you to run away as far as possible....and don't look back."

"B-BUT MOMMY YOU HAVE TO GET UP HUMANS CANT POSSIBLY HURT YOU!!" Can they?! i remembered all the bad stories that mommy told me about humans.

-KURAI'S MOMS POV-
"Kurai...mommy cant get up." I told my son as he had anger and sadness filled in his eyes.
I've never thought i'd see Kurai like this. I cant possibly tell him im going to die.

"KURAI GO!!" I yell to my son trying to hide the huge gapeing hole in my side.

I never knew there was such magic that could kill a dragon...unless. Unless one of those men were dragon slayers...

-KURAI'S POV-

I wanted to stay with my mommy but i knew....

"Mommy.....don't die."

I saw tears fill my mommy's eyes.

-KURAI'S MOM'S POV-

The humans were trying to get through the magic barrier that was covering our cave entrance.
I could tell it was going to break soon. I use my magic and formed a egg around my son.

The humans got through the barrier. One of them came up to me with a mage. That mage must have been the dragon slayer.
"Hello dragon i am King Rexton, ruler of the kingdom Zennon. I am here for nothing really important."

The next thing i knew the dragon slayer had killed me. "I love you...Kurai. Stay strong."

-KURAI'S POV-

Mommy. I could hear a slight deathend voice come from outside my egg,

"I love you...Kurai. Stay strong."

"Mommy." I cried my heart out hearing those words, those humans killed my mommy.
I cried myself to sleep hearing noises from outside my egg cutting raw flesh.

-KING REXTON'S POV-

"Hello dragon i am King Rexton, ruler of the kingdom Zennon. I am here for nothing really important."
I gave the signal to my mage informing him to kill the beast.

My soldiers started to cut the flesh off the dragon for the meat. "Make sure you skin the beast's scales."
After my soldiers were done with the job my mages stripped the dragon of it's magic. Every last drop.

After that we all searched the cave for anything else important. Near the dragon was a egg a dragon egg, i knew how much my daughter [F/N] loved dragons as well do i love dragons, i wanted to know and have everything dragons do. I brought the egg home for [F/N], and she loved it.

-KURAI'S POV-

I knew mommy wanted me to stay strong so i did, I held back my tears and started to explore this strange place.
I saw something move. I flew up to the figure, it sat up and it was staring straight at me. I-it was a girl a human girl! But this human didn't feel as scary
as the others...that killed my mommy.

"Hey."

-NO ONE'S POV-

"Yep humans will always and forever be weird."

"What! I'm not weird if anything..."

''What?''

''Are you the dragon!''

''Well yeah, i'm a dragon what else would i be."

''Are you the dragon from the egg, you hatched! I'm so happy you're okay!''

I pulled the small dragon into a hug.

''Release human!''

I sadly released the small dragon from my tight embrace

''So dragon tell me about your life, well you just hatched so i guess you just started your life..."

The strange human girl kept talking to herself completely ignoring me like i was never there.

''Hey i have a name you know!''

''Oh i almost forgot!'' yeah you completely forgot.

''So what's your name?''

''Kurai. And yours?''

'' [Y/N]."

"And i did have a life before i was in that egg..."

"Cool! Can you please tell me about it"

"Umm i don't know.."

"PLEASE!!!"

"Okay, okay." So i told [Y/N] all about my fun life with my mommy and how... she was killed. And that i hated humans.

''.......i'm so sorry Kurai.''

'' Yea it's ok...."

It was silent for a few minutes then [Y/N] pulled me into another tight embrace.

''Don't worry Kurai me and you will do some more fun things like what you and your mom did, and i'll teach you how to love humans too!"

"I don't think that will ever happen." i said with slight attitude.

"And i'll be your friend!"

''Friend?..."

''Yeah, you've never had a friend be-'' Uouaf!! Kurai squeezed me harder, With tears filled in his eyes.

''I would love for you to be my friend!"

-[Y/N]'S POV-

Finally my very first friend!

[Y/N] started balling while saying with a bright smile, ''Yeah.''

-KURAI'S POV-

This little human child actually made me happy

I still miss her......my mommy. But now i have a Friend. <3
