When I get home the first thing I do is take my shoes off and walk into the kitchen. I down a whole cup of water before dragging my suitcase up my stairs and into my bedroom. I unpack a bit, mostly just taking my dirty clothes out and putting them in the washing machine before changing into my pajamas and ordering some food. As I eat, I text Damon and edit the vlog, posting it for upload before going to bed.
The next morning I wake up and take a shower, spending more time in there than usual to wash the tiredness off of me. When I get out, I run a wide-toothed comb through my curly hair and dry off, putting some deodorant and perfume on before slipping into some jeans and one of Damon's merchandise shirts. After slipping some shoes on and gathering the things I need, such as my phone and my keys, I head downstairs and eat a bowl of cereal before getting into my car.
The drive to Shay and Collette's apartment is quick and easy due to there being an oddly small amount of traffic. When I get there the couple lets me in and explains that Brock is down for a nap and that they'll be back later tonight. I bid them goodbye and fall gracefully onto their couch before pulling out my vlog camera and vlogging a bit.
I'm not alone for long, Brock wakes around half an hour after I get there, and we play for a while until he gets hungry and I make mac n cheese for lunch. Before we know it, it's time to pick the kids up from school. I get Brock dressed and put some shoes on him before we venture out to my car. After putting his car seat in, I buckle him in and we're off to the kid's school to pick them up.
The whole ride there we listen to music and I vlog a bit. When we arrive at the school, I find a parking spot and venture through the sea of kids to find the other three siblings. When the kids notice me they all run over, tackling me in hugs. As we walk back to the car they all speak, telling me how much they missed me and what they did at school that day. Once everyone is in the car, all buckled up, I turn in my seat to look at them.
"We're going to go home and have a snack, get changed, and then I figured we could go walk around the mall a bit. How does that sound?" There's a unanimous "yes" that resounds from the back seat. I pull out of the parking spot and make the ride home, getting all the little ducklings out and making our way up to the apartment.
"You guys go get changed and I'll grab you guys a snack." They all nod, hanging their backpacks on their hooks before running off into their bedrooms to change. While they do that, I grab some rice crispy treats from the cabinet and hand them to them as they come out of their rooms. It doesn't take long and before I know it, all the kids are begging to leave. So, with a laugh, we all set back out to the car.
The ride to the mall is filled with excitement and laughter. They all talk about what stores they want to go to and how they brought money to hopefully buy something. Once we arrived, we all tumbled out of my car and I put Brock in the stroller, seeing as he wouldn't want to walk. We walk around the mall for a bit and I buy Avia and Emmi some new outfits, and Gavin a new video game. I shop a bit for me which instantly makes the kids bored.
When we get home I start to prepare dinner, deciding on some chicken nuggets and leftover mac n cheese from earlier. As we all sat down for dinner, the kids seemed to get chatty again. Avia explains a dream that she had a while ago and Emmi tells me she wants to show me something when we're done. After I'm done with the dishes, I call for all the kids to change into athletic clothes and load them all up into the car.
I take them somewhere they can blow off steam, a gymnastics gym. There are tons of huge trampolines and foam pits and the kids seem to have a lot of fun there. I show them some tumbling, stuff that I know from my past of being a gymnast, and they all seem impressed. Avia and Emmi decide they want to try a standing back flip, so I spot them to make sure they don't hurt themselves. By the time we were done, it was around 8:00 and everyone seemed to be tired.
When we get back to the apartment, I send the kids off to bed. Helping Brock get ready before laying him down. The kids went to sleep pretty easily and it got quiet really fast. I pull my laptop out of my bag and do some work, importing vlog footage and editing it. I fall into my work, and before I know it Shay and Collette are back and I'm on the road, heading home.
When I get home, I pass out instantly. The kids definitely wore me out in a way I didn't know was possible. After getting a late-night snack of a granola bar, I walk upstairs to my room and clean my face, brushing my hair, and changing into pajamas. I post the vlog before climbing into bed and falling into a dreamless slumber.
