I hate school sm :-///

rogue's pov;

My body rose on its own and I began to run. My legs were ready to pass out, my lungs felt like they were on fire and my vision was blurry. All that I could think about was Sting.

'He can't be hurt..'

I kept repeating that in my mind. It was the only thing that could help me keep semi-calm at this moment. I saw the cave not too far ahead of me and I could swear I saw a thing of blonde, spiky hair. I reached out my hand, then felt my body fall and my vision go all black.

sting's pov;

I was breathing heavily as the monster stood unconscious below me. Sure, it did attack me, but I couldn't kill it like that. I picked it up carefully and begun to walk outside, finding a place to lay it down.

The monsters fur was a deep red but in the middle of its stomach was an oval that was a lighter red. I noticed the whiskers and smiled softly.

'It's actually kinda cute.'

I laid it down near a tree and begun to walk back when I noticed another unconscious body which looked very familiar.

"Rogue!" I yelled, running to his side then kneeling on the ground.

"Please tell me he's alive." I checked his pulse and I could feel his heart beating and I sighed in relief.

"Fucking hell Rogue, you seriously worried me!" I yelled at nothing, running a hand through my hair.

I just felt a sense of relief since he was still alive. If he had died, what would I have done? It would look bad with me holding a dead body.. Especially his.

I picked him up and carried him back to the cave in my arms.

"Maybe we should've tried finding somewhere to stay beforehand. But what fairy even lives here?" I wondered out loud, looking at the gloomy forest that surrounded us.

I could hear rustling of bushes and the "pit pats" of animals moving around. I was too tired to care.

I placed his body down, then sat down next to it. I wanted to sleep, but these woods were to dangerous.

I shivered, cursing myself about forgetting the wood for the fire.

"I'll just do it tomorrow." I muttered, rubbing my eyes, feeling a sudden drowsiness hit me like a truck.

Tomorrow began our adventure. Hopefully there wouldn't be more encounters like this.

next morning

rogue's pov-

I woke up, my eyes closed, my head banging with a headache and a body snuggled up next to me. The headache can be taken care of after who I found out who's body this was.

I opened my eyes, seeing familiar blonde, spiky hair cuddling right into me.

"S-Sting?!" I almost yelled, my face turning beat red as I thought about him literally snuggling me.

His eyes fluttered open and saw how close we were. A gasp left his mouth as he jumped back.

"Sorry Rogue! I didn't mean to do that I mean, I just fell asleep and it was freezing like sheesh, we need to get the fire wood soon and maybe another camp out? Last night was one heck o-"

I stopped listening to his ramble and thought about last night.

The memories rushed back to me.

The blood stained grass. My body aching, yelling for me to stop.

Him yelling.

Then me blacking out.

"Sting!" He stopped talking immediately.

"Yeah?"

"What happened after I blacked out?"

"I don't know when you blacked out.."

"Fine, why did you yell then?"

"I was attacked by surprise but managed to fend the monster off!"

"And.."

"Oh right, I laid the beast under a tree somewhere and found your body unconscious. I carried you back and let you sleep. After a while, I fell asleep.. Also, why were you unconscious? You worried me a lot!"

"I heard you yell and I was far away so I had to run and I've just been tired all day so.."

"You realize you could've cast a spell, correct?" I stayed silent as he began to laugh.

"You're supposed to be the greatest mage to live within decades and you can't even think of an obvious moment to use magic?"

"It would be a waste!"

"You wouldn't have been passed out if you casted it!"

"Yes but what if I needed my magic to help you?"

"You think I'm that weak?"

"I'm not saying you are but what if that beast was much stronger than you?"

"And what if we stopped talking about this?" I didn't reply, feeling bad now.

I had a sense that we both felt bad and were regretting this argument. I didn't mean to come off rude, I was just really concerned. I don't know why though.

"I'm sorry." He muttered and I felt my eyes go wide.

"It's okay.. I'm sorry too. That was a really stupid argument."

"Yeah. Let's try not to argue that much on this quest, okay? Plus, we need to worry more about finding these fairies rather than petty arguments like this."

"Yeah." Sting looked at me, giving me a smile I've never seen before.

It was gentle. Warming. Soft. Glowing. It was something I've never seen and it was beautiful. He didn't smile too much or smile too little. It was something you would couldn't help but smile also. His teeth weren't showing, his eyes were soft looking.

They were sparkling. They were like they held the ocean or even the galaxy in them.

Maybe he held the ocean in them.

sting's pov-

His eyes held flames. They held danger. A darkness. A mystery. Misery. They held what I am most afraid of.

Yet, I wasn't afraid of the person who had them.

In fact, I was in love with that person.
