Amelia Parker had to grow up a lot faster than other kids her age. Her parents were always on a work trip or in the lab and since her brother, Peter, was ten years younger than her, she was always taking care of him. Unfortunately, when she was only 15, her parents died. She was never given a clear explanation of what happened, it was such a raw topic, nobody wanted to answer her questions. After a while she gave up on asking. After that, Peter and her moved in with their Aunt May and Uncle Ben.

Amelia had always been independent; she decided to move out right when she graduated high school. She got into her dream college, Columbia University, and got a job as an intern at Oscorp Industries. She became a lab assistant not even a year later. She also had a bartending job on the side to help her with the rent.

Not only is Amelia smart, but she has a rare ability to remember every detail of her life due to her hyperthymesia and eidetic memory. This was a blessing and a curse. She remembers every vivid detail about everything, which helped her progress in life faster than other people her age.

By the time she was 23, she was one of the head technology scientists. When visiting Amelia one day at work, Peter got lost and ended up in an experimental spider lab. He got bit and acquired his powers. He gained remarkable abilities. He could shoot webs from his wrists, climb on walls, and was unbelievably strong. His senses were also heightened. They decided to keep his powers a secret because she did not want him in any danger. The only one she confided in about this was her best friend, Emily. Amelia was never the type to let someone in or share her feelings, except when it came to her. Emily and Amelia had been best friends for as long as she could remember. Friendships came and went, but Emily and Amelia's friendship never wavered.

Besides Peter's new powers, their life was as normal as it could be until the battle of New York. There was chaos everywhere. Amelia was at work when the aliens attacked. She called Peter almost immediately to make sure he was safe.

"Are you okay? Where are you?"

"I'm fine! I'm at home with May and Ben. Are you okay? I want to help."

"Don't! We can't risk your powers being seen, the police can handle it."

"Can they though? This seems really intense."

"It does not matter, under no circumstance are you to use your powers, understand?"

"Yeah, I understand."

"Okay good, stay there, I am on my way home."

"Okay, just avoid the streets, there is a lot going on down there."

"I will, thanks, I'll see you soon."

Amelia hung up the phone as she rushed out of the building. Once she got to the street, she realized it was a lot worse than she thought. She looked up and gasped as a giant whale-looking alien crashed into Oscorp Industries. But before it could hit the ground, and her in the process, a big green man stopped it. Amelia's eyes went wide. She turned around and ran faster than she ever had before. Her family's apartment was only four blocks away. She knew she could make it. When she finally got there, the apartment building was in ruins. It looked like the whole thing had fallen apart from the bottom up. Then she saw Peter on his knees in the rubble.

"Peter!" Amelia yelled, but he did not turn around, which made her stomach turn. She walked up behind him and was about to ask him what was wrong, if he was okay, where Aunt May and Uncle Ben were, and then she saw them. Laying there. Not breathing.
