Chapter 2

Alexandria looked rather confused when rose words left my mouth.

"I'm... A half-blood? Like Percy Jackson?" She asked. Seth started laughing. I gave him another dirty look.

"No not like Percy Jackson. He is a Demigod. There is a difference. You see, when two demigods have children together, their children are pureblood's, like me. But when a pureblood has a child with a mortal, the child is a half-blood, like you." I explained.

"OK, I don't know what any of that means." She said. "So maybe use normal English instead of whatever that was." She said.

Seth smiled at her sarcastic comment.

I couldn't help but stare at her. She was beautiful. Even though she is covered in blood, and blue dust. She looked scared and pissed off at the same time. It was kind of weird to see those.

"Wait, did you kill the daimon?" I asked. She looks down at herself.

"Um... Is that what that thing was? And there were two demons." She said. "Are they like from Hell or something?" She looked back up at me.

"Or something. They are not demons, d-e-m-o-n-s, but daimons, d-a-i-m-o-n-s," I explained to her.

"OK...? " Seth decided to step in. "That's not confusing at all," He turned to face her.

"Listen to me Alexandria. You are not a normal human, and those things that you killed aren't human either. You see those are pure's that were killed and turned. Now they addicted to aether or the blood of the gods. You see, the Greek Gods are real. And we are their descendants," He said. This seemed to be a better explanation for her.

"So they are kind of like vampires?" She asked. "Or Empousai?" I was surprised she knew what they were.

"Kind of, but they drink blood to get to the aether," He said. She nodded.

"That makes more sense. I actually could compare this to Percy Jackson a little. So that dagger there, is it a special metal that kills?" She asked pointing to my covenant dagger.

"It's titanium, the metal of the titans," I said.

She tilted her head to the side. "So it's not imperial gold or celestial bronze." Seth laughed again. I suppressed a smile.

"No, it isn't," I said.

"Oh, I think Hephaestus should make that." I couldn't help but chuckle at that. "What, it's true, he should make that. You know to fight monsters like the Minotaur." She said.

"Those monsters were either killed or banished to the underworld several millennia ago." Seth told her.

"Darn, I would have loved to fight those." She said. I suppressed another smile.

"We should get going. Marcus will be very happy to know his niece is still alive." Seth said. Alex looked at him.

"I have an uncle?" She asked.

"Yes, and a stepfather named Lucian," I answered. She looked up at me, with hope in her eyes.

"I still have family left?" Tears swelled in her warm, whiskey-colored eyes. "I'm not alone?" This seemed to cheer her up a bit.
