Resident Evil - Arklay's Secrets

Prologue

July 23rd, 7:00 PM

I walked in the S.T.A.R.S. office and I checked the Captain's office for my husband , but no one was in there. I saw Jill doing paperwork at her desk. "Where's Albert, he didn't leave already did he?"Jill looked up at smiled at me. "No, he had to take a call." I sighed and held up a thermal bag. "That's good, I made him dinner, I hate for him to go home and him miss the dinner that I made."

I don't know how you're married to him, he's so cold." Jill began to fill out more paperwork. "He's not that bad, we do have a son together." I shrugged and Jill chuckled. "You're right, how is Chase?" I smiled at her. "He's in Paris, a lot of things were happening at East Raccoon City High school, so we sent him to a better school." Jill sighed and went back to her paperwork. "Must be nice, to go to Paris I mean." I nodded and leaned against her desk. "Yep, I was half tempted to get on that plane with him, but I got a husband who wouldn't survive without me." I grinned at my words.

"Talking a lot for someone on the clock, hmm?" I smiled seeing Albert Wesker had walked in without us knowing. "I'm early, stop complaining and here's your dinner." I handed him the thermal bag. "Hmm... thank you." I said went to walk away and Wesker grabbed my wrist. "You've been working too hard, go home and rest." I gave him a confused look. "I just got here, I've been gone a long time too." Albert rubbed his thumb over the pulse point of my wrist in a circular motion before retreating his hand. "Alright, I'm going to the office to fill out some paperwork." I walked my husband walk into the Captain Office. "That's new." Jill blinked in surprise. "He's just very cautious right now." Jill nodded and stared at me. "Right, how was the surgery?" I shook my head. "Fine, I'm fully recovered and ready to get back to work."

My phone began to ring and walked out of the office, then I answered my phone once the door closed. "Chase, how is Paris?" I asked Chase. "Good, ho... re... u..."The line started to crackle. "Hello, Chase..?" I blinked confused and checked my connection. "Reception must be bad." I hung up and walked back inside.

"Bad connection." Barry and Jill nodded. "Besides it's 12:00 AM there, he needs his rest anyways." I sat at my desk and started paperwork. "I'm going to be working, no loud conversations, please." Albert spoke from the opened door. I turned my desk to the office door and picked up a piece of paper. "Take a break." I wrote on it before balling it up to toss it over. Albert glanced up at me as it hit his sunglasses. He raised a brow and unraveled it. He sighed and wrote something then tossed it back.

I opened it. "No." I huffed and wrote on the paper. Albert unraveled it again and read it. "Please, for your wife?" He wrote on it before tossing it back. "That's definitely a no." I huffed and wrote on it again. "We can eat together!" I tossed it back. He read it and huffed.

Albert sighed again knowing that I wasn't gonna give up. Although I know him too, he could be equally as stubborn. I watched him click his pen and blue eyes focused on me from across the room. I smiled at him and he tossed the paper back. "No, I'm busy." I wrote again. "Come on."

Wesker saw the paper bounce back on his desk. He unraveled it yet again and read it. "No, you're distracting." He scribbled down and tossed it back to me. "You could just ignore these, this means you love me too much to ignore me." I tossed the paper back to him. He read it and smirked at me.

I waved him over and he dropped the sheet into the waste bin beside his desk. "The audacity!" I gasped faking being hurt and pointed at him. Barry chuckled in response and Albert motioned his hand in a shooing motion. "You always could get under his skin." I nodded in response to Barry's words. "That's my perk as his wife." I smiled at Albert who was clearly ignoring the conversation now. "My love!" I whined at sat backwards in my chair now. I scribbled on another sheet of paper. "You can't ignore me!" Albert unraveled it, read it and stood up.

He walked towards me and I laughed running away from my desk. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" The others laughed as I retreated by Barry. "I'm not a shield." I tried to calm down my laughing. "Today, you are." Albert grabbed my wrist. "I know what you're trying to do." I pouted and turned my head away from him. "I don't know what you're talking about." Albert chuckled and pulled over to him. "So you aren't trying to get me behind in my work, that way I get stuck here late trying to finish up work." I tensed up a bit and I knew he could feel it from my wrist too. Jill smirked at us. "Get a room." The other members of Alpha came back in from either training or target practice to get their items to leave for home. Albert let go and grabbed some papers off the desk.

Albert came out of the office and went to the door. "I'm heading home." I nodded and he walked out. "Okay, don't forget we have dinner reservations next week, work or no work be there." He nodded slightly and walked out of the office. "Come with me for a moment." I got up and followed him out. "What- Mmph!" I was caught off guard by him giving me a kiss with no warning. "Be safe." He turned around and I reached to touch my lips with my fingertips. I was in shock by such a sudden act of affection from him.

9:30 PM

I got a call from Albert in the middle of eating the sandwich I packed myself. "Hello, love." Albert sounded quite alert and I could hear crunching of grass. "Police Chief Irons had a mission for Bravo Team, relay to your Captain there should be a fax coming in from the chief. Albert then hung up abruptly. "I love you too, you ass."

"Captain Marini, message from Albert. Check the fax in the office, we got a mission from the chief!" I shouted which seemed to annoy the captain. "So loud and you just got back." Captain Marini sighed. "Go gear up and I'll brief you all on the way."
