Chapter 1

Percy's POV

I woke up like any other day. Except that I was going to propose to Annabeth today. I roll out of bed and run to shower and get changed. I dress as I usually do in denim shorts and a Camp Half-Blood tee-shirt. I grab the ring and a red apple the the Evil Queen from Snow White would have been jealous of. I read in a history book that in Ancient Greece, tossing an apple was considered a marriage proposal. So if Annabeth asks for any type of fruit, I will throw this at her.

I walk to the dining pavilion and set down the apple at my spot and go for a walk. No one would dare take my apple. I walk up to Thalia's tree. I am petting the dragon when I hear a person screaming. A girl to be exact. I run down the hill to see a girl about 12 years old cowering under a runt hellhound puppy. I pull out Riptide and quickly dispatch the monster. Another boy, this one about my age comes running up to the girl.

"Elyssa! Are you OK? Are you hurt?" Suddenly he takes notice of me. "You!" He yells angrily at my face.

"Watch it! I just saved your friend's life from a runt hellhound. I could easily beat you in a fight also!"

"Percy! Watch your language! Can't you tell they are frightened? Just leave them alone for now!" Annabeth says this walking up behind me. Since when does she scold me over things like this. She knows they are true. Suddenly the is a blue light over the girl's head and there is a floating trident. And a golden light comes from the boy, a sun with a bow and arrow is floating over top of his head.

"Children, what are your names?" Chiron says from behind me.

"I'm Jake and this is my sister Elyssa. Our mother is Lily Granger."

"All hail Elyssa Granger, daughter of Poseidon and Jake Granger, son of Apollo."

The whole camp seems to be behind me now. A bright flash blinds us all. In front of me is my father. "I hereby disown my son, Perseus Jackson, for being an incompetent fool towards his sister and her half brother." In a similarly blinding flash of light, he is gone. Did that really just happen? I don't really care right now. I walk back to the dining pavilion and grab the apple. I have to wait.

Two weeks later

I turn around to find Annabeth snogging Jake. I had the apple from the day I save Elyssa in my hand.

"Annabeth! How could you!" I throw the apple along with the ring I had gotten for her at her. That was the last straw. I turn and sprint towards the Poseidon cabin and toss all of my belongings here into a bag. I can't deal with it anymore. I have to go.

I run past the border as Nico is crossing. He screams at me to wait. And I don't listen. I can't. I run and run and run till I can't run anymore. I then collapse to find myself in a clearing all alone. I finally break down in tears.

I suddenly feel a chill, like from the underworld. Hades is here.

I calm myself down and acknowledged the lord of the dead. "Lord Hades."

"Percy Jackson. I am here on behalf of Lord Chaos. He wishes to speak to you."

"OK then. I am willing to talk." I look up in time to see a black hole appear and a man walk through. He had pitch black hair with a few color streaks through it. Like deep blue and purple and a few pure white here and there. His eyes looked older than Chiron's. Like way older. His face and body features show that he chooses to appear as an early twenties muscular guy. He is wearing a suit that is black, but it has a moving galaxy pattern on it.

"Percy Jackson, I am Chaos." The man says. His voice even sounded young. "I would like to offer you a job since you have lost everything and everyone. I would like you to be the commander and chief of my army. Your identity would get erased from the future. You will be thought of as dead by all except a few chosen ones. If you accept, then you will become immortal and then be brought to my land for judgement. If pure, you get to choose your elite team from dead people. You have five minutes to decide."

Before he is done, I choose. It was one of the easiest things I have ever done. "I accept. I would like for Nico, Thalia, Leo, and Will to remember I'm alive, but only them. I am willing to come immediately." I am surrounded by a bright flash of light. When it clears, there a council of people stand in front of me. The judgement has begun.
