The air was thick with pulverized concrete and the acrid stench of cordite. Lensuri hit the ground hard, sliding low beneath a hail of incoming kinetic rounds. He threw his back against the reinforced pillar of the compound, instantly raising his GT-S2 Battle Rifle. Squeezing the trigger, shot after shot, he laid down a suppressing burst of high-velocity fire against the advancing horde of BSD Forces.

"HURRY!!!" Lensuri roared over the deafening chatter of gunfire.

Through the dust, a grim scene unfolded. Kriemhilde Rosmarie was screaming, her armor scorched and her side bleeding heavily from a direct hit. Prokopos Nikolas, gritting his teeth behind his visor, dragged her by the tactical webbing toward Lensuri's position. Prokopis fired his Vytax ACAP 9.7 one-handed, the sharp cracks of the weapon keeping the nearest BSD breachers at bay.

Once behind the barricade, Prokopos dropped his Secondary and immediately deployed his INVIL CF-Stabiliser. He jammed the Medical Gun into Rosmarie's wounds and fired four times, the chemical coagulants and stimulants hissing as they flooded her system, immediately healing her injuries.

"Γαμώτο! There are too many!!!" Prokopis cursed, his hands slick with blood as he monitored her vitals. Seeing that she was now fully stabilized, he picked up his Vytax, reloaded, and returned fire. His Wraith-CRC was out of ammo.

Rosmarie gasped, her eyes snapping open with renewed, adrenaline-fueled fury. She hauled herself up, hefting her TASG-11 S-GLTH. "Gott im Himmel... Säubere diese üblen Ketzer..." she whispered before stepping out from cover and unleashing a thunderous barrage that shattered the advancing BSD Warthog's Shield's Glass and taken down.

To their left flank, Lasia Ishmael vaulted over a fractured concrete road barricade, sliding into the defensive pocket. With practiced efficiency, she slammed an IATO Light Armor Plates Package onto the ground. Stripping her shattered chest plate, she snapped a fresh ceramic composite into her rig. Then tossed it to the other three.

"Damn it all... fucking indeed," Lasia muttered. She braced her Ravenhawk B.305 on the barricade, her eye locked onto her targets. With rhythmic, calculated precision, she covered the remaining MERCs, sending a hail of .305 AAX Vipe rounds through a few BSD Assaults and a Marksman.

Beside her, Becker Stanford was in his element. The self-proclaimed cowboy stepped out of cover just long enough to fan-fire the last cylinder of his massive PARAGON Aegis-50 Revolver. The devastating hand-cannon roared, dropping three heavily armored targets in rapid succession. Ducking back down, Becker kicked a heavy metal crate across the floor... a TAC Ammo Container. The container unlatched, revealing rows of fresh magazines and shells.

"Thanks, Cowboy," Lensuri grunted, swiftly dropping his empty mag and restocking his Battle Rifle before leaning out to fire at the second wave of assault units, while being suppressed by their Skullcrusher.

Suddenly, a blur of motion tore through the corridor. It wasn't a MERC.

Selene Alexandrea descended from the upper gantry, a deadly storm of steel and anomalous agility. Armed with a dual-wielded F/L HF-BLD 'Kizuna' and a VT8 High Frequency Blade, the Subject tore through the distracted BSD units.

The high-frequency hum of her blades cleanly parted Kevlar, flesh, and bone. Despite being a highly dangerous Anomalous Entity, her twisted, obsessive devotion to Lensuri made her a temporary... if terrifying... ally for the Squad.

She arrived at the heavy steel double doors just as the MERCs fell back into the command room. Moving with a synchronized, almost eerie understanding, Lensuri and Selene grabbed whatever heavy industrial debris they could find, shoving desks, steel beams, and concrete chunks against the locking mechanism to barricade the door.
