Forgetting You

Chapter 5: Problems.

     When I woke up I looked at my surroundings. I tried moving but I couldn't. I looked down and noticed a hand around my waist. Then all the memories from last night came back. I silently groaned and pulled Jase's arm off of me and walked to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and felt a throbbing in my head. Lucky me, I got a hangover. When I walked out Jase was standing by the nightstand with water and some Advil. "Thought you might need these after last night." He said with a boyish grin. My heart fluttered when he did it.

     "Thanks." I quickly reach out and took the pills from him. I smiled and took the pills. "Thanks for also letting me stay last night. I'm sorry you had to deal with me."

     "I actually didn't mind." He said taking a step closer to me. "I really enjoyed your company last night." He then took another step closer and I was up against the wall. He put his hands out blocking me in. He leaned in closer "I really enjoyed it." Then he captured my lips into a kiss. I was shocked at first, but then I moved my lips against his. I put my arms around his neck and pulled him closer. I don't know how long we were like this before someone came into his room.

     "Wow little bro, looks like you actually can get a lady." Said the guy in the doorway. Obviously he was Jase's older brother.

     "Wow Brayden, still looks like you don't know how to knock on a door." Jase replied sarcastically. Brayden just shrugged and walked out of the room.

     "I think I should probably head home." I said awkwardly. He nodded and told me I could go change in his bathroom. I just slipped back on my shorts and kept his shirt on. When I walked back out Jase wasn't there. I walked down the stairs and followed the sound of voices I heard.

     "So, was that chick a one night stand thing or what?"

     "That chick has a name, and no she was not. Do you guys remember Rosaliegh from when I was about five or six?"

     "That was Rosaliegh? Man she's gotten hot."

     "When do I get to see this new and approved Rosaliegh? On a scale of one to ten how hot is she?" I walked into the room when I heard a new voice join the conversation. I cleared my throat and all three boys looked at me.

     "Uh, Jase I was just about to leave. I'll see you Monday, bye." With that I walked out of the kitchen. I was at the front door when I felt a hand around my wrist.

     "You know, I could drive you home. I wouldn't mind." Jase looked down at me. I told him I could walk but he insisted on driving me. When we got to my house he walked me to the front door.

     "Thanks for everything Jase. I really appreciate it."

     "It was not a problem at all, besides I couldn't let you go home with a complete stranger could I?"

     "You could have but you didn't. You could have left me on the table to do more belly shots, thankfully you got me out of there."

     "I'm glad I did because I wouldn't have been able to see how good you looked in my shirt--" he said taking a step closer "-- I also wouldn't have been able to kiss you this morning--" he took a step closer and now our chest were touching "-- I also wouldn't have been able to do this." Before I could say anything his lips captured mine into our second kiss. When he ended the kiss, I already missed his touch.

     "I think I should go." He said in between breathes.

     "I'll see you on Monday, then." I quickly pecked him on the check and walked inside the house.

Rose💚😉: if you must know I went home with Jase.
Lily💜😏: oh really, you went home with Jase. Wonder what happened.

    With that our conversation was over. I went and lay on my bed waiting for the arrival of my best friend. I replayed the events that happened aping he last 24 hours. I imagined Jase's lips on mine and what could have happened if Brayden wouldn't have walked in on us.

     "Guess who's here, and you have to tell everything too."

     "I don't know, I don't really have any friends I can talk to know." I turned to look at Lily and she just rolled her eyes.

     "So are you gonna tell me what happened or...?" So I then proceeded to tell her what happened. She just sat there smirking at me the whole time.

     "So you guys didn't..."

     "No! We did not. We just kissed a couple of times, for about... You know what it doesn't even matter."

     "I knew he liked you. God, I was really beginning to think he'd never get the nerve to ask you out. Then all of a sudden he just randomly kisses you!"

     "Well, things happen. So what do you wanna do?"

     "I think we need to talk about Hayden being back, Rose."

     "What about him being back? He's been gone for about a year now. I've moved on, hopefully he has too." I looked down, tears were forming in my eyes. It was hard to think about Hayden and what he did. Sometimes I just couldn't handle it.

     "Oh babe, I didn't mean to make you cry or get upset. We don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. I can go if you want."

     "Lily you don't have to leave. It's just hard to talk about. You know that."

     "I do, which is why I'm gonna go and you're gonna chill and watch Netflix, or go on a walk, or even go to the gym. I'll text you later tonight. Bye Rose." With that my best friend was out the door.

     I thought about what Lily had said and going on a walk sounded perfect. I grabbed my phone and headphones and walked out the door. I made sure to send a quick text to Lily before I left. I decided to run towards the park. There were a couple of people out, but it was starting to get dark. I decided I'd better head back, but before I could someone grabbed me and pulled me into an ally.

     There was a hand over my eyes and mouth so I couldn't see who my attacker was. I ripped the hand away from my eyes and mouth and Hayden was standing right in front of me. I started to panic. I hadn't come face to face with him yet. I didn't know what to do.

     S-stay away from me!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. I couldn't believe he were back. My life was finally starting to feel normal again.

"Oh, come on you know you missed me Rose." I hated when he called me that. The way it rolled off his tongue almost perfectly. I hated it, I hated him.

" Stay back or I'll call the poli-" before I could finish my thought he had me pushed up against the wall. He was always really fast, maybe that's why he was a track star in high school. People used to worship him for how fast he could run and jump, I guess things haven't changed.

"Try it Rosaliegh, I f*cking dare you too."  His grip around my wrists tightened. It hurt so bad, but I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of seeing me cry, hearing me scream.

"That's what I thought. I'll see you around Rose."  Hayden left after that. I was left there crying to myself. I hated him and I cursed the day I had ever met him.
