Becoming the villain : Early beginnings

The beginning

My name is Luke Castellan otherwise known as the villain from Percy Jacksons story and this is the story of how I died

It all started in Westport, Connecticut when I was 9.....

*time travel sounds*

"Luke come back please I'm sorry"

"Don't worry mom I'll" I took a breath "I'll be back for lunch"

That was the moment I never looked back

*time travel sounds*

Ok so you might need a bit of context to understand why I left

My mom was .... A lot, to say the least

She would have these 'episodes' were she would just go crazy and her eyes would start glowing out of nowhere. She would start to ramble meaningless sentences.

And for a nine year old that was terrifying I couldn't take it anymore so I just ... left

*time travel sounds*

"Don't worry mom I'll" I took a breath "I'll be back for lunch"

I just ran not knowing where I would end up but I knew anywhere was better than my current living situation.

I ran to a nearby bus station to leave this city as fast as I could.

I bought a ticket on the next bus as far as it would take me which was to Columbus, Ohio

I kept taking buses until I got to
Glendale, California which hopefully was far enough from my mom where she would never find me.

When I got off the bus I immediately felt something was wrong

Like I was being watched immediately started running until I found a gas station I walked inside and grabbed some protein bars I hid some in my pockets and paid for one so I wouldn't look suspicious then I walked out to go to another bus which would take me to Angeles national forest so I could camp out there.

The bus ride wasn't too long.

But then the worst case scenario happened.

A monster found me

I wasn't 100% what kind of monster it was i just knew it was some sort of giant because of the size

I thought it hadn't noticed me but then it started charging toward me I ran towards a nearby cave for shelter and to hide and I got blocked in by the giant

Then I saw a girl with black hair and bright blue eyes also being herded into the cave.

We got backed into a corner when she tapped her bracelet and said "Aegis" then she pulled out a a small canister from her pocket and opened it, somehow it turned into a spear and the giants immediately backed up. She stabbed the one that was chasing me and it dissolved into dust, then she grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the cave.

We ran until we thought it was a safe distance then I remembered I had the protein bars in my pockets so I handed her one.

We sat on a log eating in silence until I brought up the courage to say something "I'm Luke what's your name"

"Thalia"she responded

"So I'm not the only one"I said

"Nope"

"Did you run away too"

"Yep"

"Where are you from"

"Pasadena, what about you"
