The Mikaelsons stood in front of the queen. They had found a new lodging under the alias of being nobles themselves.

"It is lovely to meet you, your majesty," Elijah greeted, placing a hand on his chest and bowing his head, "I wish you prosperity and a long life."

"State your name," the Queen said.

"Of course. My name is Elijah Nickel. Allow me to introduce my siblings as well..."

"Papa!"

"Young prince, please..."

The queen stiffened as her son ran directly up to Kol Mikaelson and hugged his legs. He grinned while looking up at the vampire.

"Apologies, your majesty! I tried to stop him," the prince's caretaker said, "Please forgive me!"

"Hold it," the Queen said, standing from her throne.

She stepped down from her elevated position and walked up to Kol.

"Mommy, look. It's Papa," the prince beamed, "He's alive. See."

"Who are you," the Queen asked, staring at Kol.

"Kol Mi... Nickel," Kol said, "Do you mind removing the boy attached to my leg... Majesty?"

Kol forced a polite smile at her.

"Elrod, let the man go," the Queen said.

"But... But it's Papa. He's back now so you don't have to be sad again," Elrod said, letting go of Kol, "You can be happy now."

"Chelsea, take the prince to his room," the Queen commanded.

"Of course, ma'am," the maid said, bowing her head and grabbing Elrod.

"Kol, was it," the Queen asked, turning her eyes back to him, "I am Queen Runa. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

The queen grabbed his hand and pressed her lips against Kol's knuckle. Kol was taken aback by the affectionate display. He's been flirted with before but to have a woman kiss his knuckle instead of the other way around was... Unusual.

"The pleasure is all mine, majesty," Kol said.

"Please, you and your siblings must join me for dinner. Say that you will grace me with your presence, Sir Kol," the Queen requested.

"I, uh..."

Kol glanced at Elijah for help. But instead of acknowledging him, Elijah chose to examine the grand surroundings of the throne room they were in.Traitor! He turned his eyes back to the queen, who stared at him like he was the most precious thing that she had ever seen.

"It will be my honor," Kol said.

"Very well then. As long as this family resides in my castle, they are under my protection," Queen Runa announced, "All who fail to meet these expectations will be severely punished."

The knights around them hit their chest plates with their fist and bowed at her command. The Queen then allowed two knights to lead them to their living quarters.
