Willow's POV

Nate: "Jack...pot."

He said the moment the big shipment container doors opened. The night was quiet. Almost too quiet. The team was ready, weapons in hand, eyes scanning the area as the cold night air moved around us. This mission? It was going to go easy. We had done so much worse before.

At least, that was what I kept telling myself.

Jason: "TOC, we have confirmed jackpot. I am looking at fourteen Javelin missiles. Request permission to move to demo."

For a moment, there was nothing but static coming through the radio.

Radio: "Copy, Bravo 1. Wait one."

Jason: "Bravo 1 standing by."

He said it calmly as we waited for confirmation.

I lifted the camera from my vest and took pictures of the evidence, making sure we had everything documented. The missiles were lined up inside the container, their metal surfaces barely visible under the dim lights.

Nate: "War on terror. War on terror."

He said it almost under his breath as he stood beside me. Jason was on my left, watching the surroundings. The moment we got the confirmation, we moved. Nate stepped inside the container first. I followed him. Jason came in behind me, and the doors were left open just enough for us to keep an eye on the outside.

Me: "Let's make this quick."

I said, trying to keep my voice steady.

Nate: "You seem nervous, Willow."

I glanced at him for a moment before looking back at the explosives.

Me: "Nervous? Why should I be nervous?"

I asked, trying to sound casual. I handed Nate one of the explosives so he could place it on the missile to the right. He looked at me for a few seconds.

That look. The one that told me he didn't believe me. I ignored it. I moved over to Jason and began helping him prepare the charges. My hands worked automatically, but my mind was somewhere else entirely.

As I was helping Jason, Nate called the team to check if we were still clear.

Nate: "Bravo 2, this is Bravo 4. What's the story on those skiffs?"

Radio: "Still out of hair for the moment."

Nate: "Beautiful. There is no reason we can't look inside that safe on the bridge."

Both Jason and I looked at him.

Jason: "Bridge is not our mission."

Nate: "We get into that safe, maybe we find something. Let's go after the guys on both ends of the shipment."

I looked from Nate to Jason. Jason was the leader of this group. His decision was final.

Radio: "Bravo 1, what is your status?"

I reached for the radio attached to my chest and pulled it closer to my lips.

Me: "Bravo 2, hold on."

Jason looked at us for a moment before making his decision.

Jason: "Let's do this."

Me: "Alright, but quickly."

I picked up my gun and followed Jason out of the container. Nate followed us, leaving the explosives ready behind us. Jason informed the other team about what we were going to look for and told them to stay quiet down by the boat where they were waiting.
