3rd POV

[UNIQ's YIBO AS YIHYUN]

Going to a preforming arts school meant two things: One, you have performing arts classes, obviously. And, two, you have people who try too hard in said classes.

That's how Taehyun saw it, anyways.

She sat in her seat in her dance class, watching impassively as people got up individually to dance, and others as couples or even groups.

She had a fanclub, yes, but she didn't have any actual friends in school.

Every week, people were given a specific song, and then told to choreograph a dance for that song. You get one week to do so, and you have to present it the next week. The same goes for if you get partnered.

Now, Taehyun had never been paired. She didn't have friends, and wouldn't work with anyone in her class because she all saw them as selfish, clumsy, or generally not worth the time of fussing over. Many times in class performances, people in pairs or groups would fight over the spotlight in their dances and become messy and position greedy, fighting over the attention.

So, why should she work with someone who would only push her behind and tell her, 'follow my lead'? She wouldn't, and from that decision on, she never did.

"Taehyun-ah! You're up!" Her teacher, Mrs. Im called to her.

Taehyun was already dressed in her performance clothes; comfortable but able to leave a lasting impression. She wore a pair of white basketball shorts that ended just above her knees with black compression pants underneath, a black and gray t-shirt, white shoes, and a white, black, and gray snapback. Along with this, she wore a black brace around right wrist and a fingerless glove on the other hand.

Taehyun nodded and stood up, walking up onto the class' stage, and hooking her phone up to the aux cord connecting to the speakers.

She got in place as the audio started playing and began her dance, the sound of BTS's 'Dope' playing loudly and getting people pumped for the performance to come.

Her moves were sharp and fluid, flowing smoothly though she made a small mistake and improvised it without a hitch, her eyes shining. She made eye contact with her peers throughout the dance, her confidence radiating as her fanclub started to squeal and cheer.

Taehyun ended her dance with a spin, ending in the Bangtan Boys' signature pose. After she finished, she turned around, bowed, and grabbed her phone from the cord before any of her playlist could start playing. Knowing her luck, something embarrassing would start to play, like Chieco Kawabe's Track 9: Kiss Kiss Fall in Love, and she would never live it down.

The class clapped politely and broke into loud whispers as she finished, as always. Though, a few voices shone out above others'.

"Uwah~ Taehyun hyung did really good!" A voice that Taehyun recognized as Dino, said in amazement.

"It was daebak." Another voice added in. Seungkwan? No, no. Not Jeju enough, Taehyun decided. Too light to be Seungcheol. Jeonghan or Jun?

"I agree!" Now that was definitely Jun.

"Since everyone has already performed this week and today is Friday, I'll be assigning your new groups. You'll be presenting not next week, but the week after, understand?" Mrs. Im announced.

"Ne!" The class chorused back.

"You'll be put into groups this time. No exceptions -- yes, that means you Taehyun." Mrs. Im chuckled, "The groups will be..." And she trailed on.
