Sorry for the Mistake

It was late at night.

An unusual silence had settled over the upper floor of the Jeon family mansion. The entire house was quiet, except for the sound of things breaking inside one particular room.

CRASH

The sound of glass shattering echoed through the room.

Taehyung ran a frustrated hand through his hair. His breathing was uneven, his eyes filled with tears, but his anger was keeping them from falling.

A few steps away, Jeongguk stood silently.

He knew exactly why Taehyung was this angry.

Tonight, Taehyung had learned about the decision his family had made-a decision that threatened to tear their entire life apart.

Taehyung !

Jeongguk immediately spoke.

'.Stop You're going to hurt yourself'

The vase crashed against the floor.

CRASH!

"Let me!"

Jeongguk looked at him helplessly.

"Taehyung, please..."

Please what?!"

Taehyung turned around His eyes were red with anger and tears.

How dare your family?"

Jeongguk remained silent.

"How dare they talk about you marrying someone else?"

"I was going to tell you-"

"Tell me what?"

Taehyung's voice rose

That they don't like me? That they don't approve of our marriage?"

He took a step closer.

But you never told me they were planning to get you married again!"

Jeongguk lowered his eyes.

His silence only made Taehyung angrier.

"I have to find everything out myself, Jeongguk!"

His voice suddenly cracked.

They want that businessman's daughter, don't they?"

Jeongguk said nothing.

Because that marriage will benefit their business. And because they want an heir.

Silence filled the room Taehyung clenched his fists.

"BECAUSE I CAN'T GIVE YOU A CHILD."

"Don't say that."

"Why shouldn't I? That's exactly what their problem is!"

A tear slipped down Taehyung's cheek

"For two years, I've been your husband, Jeongguk. For two years, I've endured every hateful look in this house. Every comment. Every reminder that I'm somehow not enough for your family."

He gave a bitter smile.

"And now they think bringing another woman into your life will fix everything?"

Jeongguk stepped toward him

Tae-"

"Don't come near me."

Jeongguk stopped.

Taehyung wiped his tears roughly

"I can't share my husband."

Jeongguk stared at him.

"But if that woman is going to enter this house as your wife..."

His voice trembled.

"...then there's only one condition."

What condition?"

Taehyung looked directly into his eyes.

DIVORCE!

Jeongguk froze.

"You'll have to divorce me"

"What?"

"You heard me. Jeon Jeongguk"

"Taehyung, are you even thinking clearly?"

"Completely."

Jeongguk shook his head.

"I won't divorce you."

"Then there won't be a second marriage."

For a few moments, neither of them spoke.

Then Jeongguk slowly walked toward him.

He placed his hand against Taehyung's cheek and gently wiped away his tears with his thumb.

"Enough..." he whispered. "Don't cry anymore."

Taehyung lowered his eye

Jeongguk leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss against his forehead.

Taehyung closed his eyes.

For a few moments, the storm inside him became quiet.

No other woman.

No inheritance.

No family.

Just Jeongguk.

Jeongguk gently took his hand.

"Come."

Taehyung opened his eyes.

"Where?"

"Downstairs."

Taehyung looked at him

Jeongguk nodded.

And if he brings up the marriage again?"

"This time?"

Jeongguk fell silent.

Taehyung said nothing more.

They left the room together.

As they reached the bottom of the stairs, Taehyung suddenly stopped.

His eyes immediately fell on the unfamiliar people sitting inside the drawing room.
