Shadow shouted with concern as soon as he heard a scream coming from his bathroom.
He opened the door only to see Sonic, curled up, sobbing and shivering as he avoided eye contact.
"Sonic?" Shadow tried to reach out to him, but he stopped as Sonic sharpened his quills.
He then noticed a white stick on the floor and picked it up.
Shadow's eyes widened in horror, learning what it was.
It was a pregnancy test.
Positive.
It had been two weeks since they defeated the Eggman Empire.
Two weeks since Gadget had saved Sonic after the latter had been held prisoner by Eggman for six months.
Sonic had opened up to Shadow about his experience in the six months he'd been trapped in the Death Egg.
How Infinite had tormented the blue hedgehog in the most...painful ways possible.
And Sonic...

"Oh, Sonic...I'm so sorry," Shadow whispered.
Sonic sobbed, "Sh...Shadow...I...I can't... do this..."
"It's...It's alright..." Shadow assured him.
Shadow stood silently in his bathroom as he let Sonic sob and cry out all his feelings.
After a couple of minutes, almost an hour, Sonic calmed down for a bit, and they went towards the living room.
"Infinite...Why did he have to get me pregnant? Why couldn't I...stop it?" Sonic asked himself.
"Sonic, none of this was your fault; it never was," Shadow assured him.
"I'm too young to be a parent. I can't bring myself to do this...And even less when the other parent was...was..." Sonic broke down into Shadow's chest.
"Am...Am I being selfish? To... not want a child with Infinite?" Sonic asked.
"No, Sonic! It's not selfish of you to not want a child; on the other hand, it would be selfish to give birth to a child you don't want," Shadow stated.
"This is your body, Sonic, and only YOU can decide what you want to do with it."
Sonic stared at Shadow's red ruby eyes with a spark of hope and love.
"I...I want to get rid of it..." Sonic said.
"I know, it sounds like I am being hypocritical...But I want to...I can't let a child be born unwanted and miserable..."
