Stark Industries Field Trip

Permission slip

It's the end of the day and we are in decathlon practice. This day went without a hitch, but of course that all had to end here.

" Guess what kids, we got an exceptional opportunity from Stark Industries!" says Mr. Harrington at the beginning of practice.

Chatter can be heard all around from curious students. I internally groan knowing that this was going to be torture.

" Settle down now, I haven't even gotten to the best part. The reason we were gifted this opportunity is because they are looking for potential interns, so we get to visit the industry first, then later back at school, you will be given a test. But be on your best behavior, the evaluation starts at stark Industries itself."

The chatter got even louder with everyone excited with the idea of going on this field trip.

Though one voice can be heard over all the others when Flash asks a question to Mr. Harrington.
" Since Penis Parker has already got an internship, shouldn't he be excluded from the trip, it's not like you can get a second internship at the same place."

" Mr. Thompson don't talk like that about your classmates! And regarding Peter he can still attend the trip even if he's got an internship."

Why did this have to come back to me? Though it can't be denied that Flash has a point.

And thankfully Mr. Harrington didn't question the whole Stark internship thing.

" Now for the field trip, you do need to sign a permission slip, if you don't you won't be able to go on this trip." He then proceeds to distribute the permission slips.

When I get mine I debate on ripping it up so that I can't go. Then Ned leans over " Isn't this so exciting! The rest of us have a chance of getting an internship in the same building as the Avengers."

" Ned you do know you get to visit me regularly at the tower, this isn't the first time you're going. There's nothing new." I say, raising an eyebrow at him.

" I know, but I can't help being excited, i could get an internship and work with you." He's so giddy, you would think it's Christmas morning.

I guess it won't be that bad, I'll have my friends. And I don't want to leave them alone to deal with the avengers.

I almost forgot, even if I don't go, I will still be at the tower, so might as well make the best of it.

~later that day~ At avengers tower

Entering the common area, I see Tony looking around the cupboard for food. It was surprising to see him outside of his lab, so I took advantage of his presence to mention the trip.

"Hey Dad I'm hungry"

"Hey hungry, i'm Dad" He answers back without looking up.

He must be very hungry then if he willingly finished the joke.

" Anyways , did you know about the school trip to the Industry?" I decide to ask instead.

Still without lifting his head, Tony answers back " What trip are you talking about?"

" Oh i don't know, the trip that brings my ENTIRE decathlon team to where I LIVE!" I say kind of annoyed that he is ignoring me.

This time he looks up at me, clearly not in a good mood " You know that isn't my job. I don't know what trips get planed here, so don't bring that attitude to me before I have even had my morning coffee."

" You do know it's the end of the day Mr. Stark."

I wonder when he last went to bed to be this disoriented. " Hey FRIDAY, how long has Mr. Stark been awake?"

" Mr. Stark was last asleep 43 hours ago." FRIDAY stated.

" And I'm doing perfectly fine. I don't need sleep, I need answers." Tony responded back, looking up as if trying to see FRIDAY.

" Look, I don't care what time of day it is, can you just sign the permission slip so that I don't end up alone at home with my classmates roaming around my house?" I ask, getting sick of this never ending conversation.

" Yeah, yeah, whatever, just give me that." He says while taking the flier and signing it. " You do know it's Pepper that takes care of this kind of thing, so you should probably ask her about the trip."

" Thanks, I will check up with her. And you should probably get some rest before finding any answers to whatever problem you're dealing with. If you need any help, I can come lend a hand, once you have woken up."

" Just get out of here kid, take care of you're own homework first before worrying about my work." He says, looking for food once again.

I start heading for my room, and call out to FRIDAY " Can you call Pepper to get Tony to bed please."

" Sure thing Peter, i will get Mrs. Potts to get Mr. Stark to bed." The AI answered back.

" Thanks FRIDAY."
