Chapter Fourteen: Xavier's P.O.V

We reached Lillith's room, and the door was locked. I had no other choice but to break down the door. When I did, it was the worst killing of a vampire I have seen in my life. I could tell that Lillith put up a fight, but she wasn't strong enough. Who did this? I thought to myself. What has she done to deserve this? Then I saw out of the corner of my eye, that Abigail was starting to collapse. I put my arm around her waist. I remembered as I put my arm around her waist, that she knew this was going to happen.

"Who did this?" I asked. She didn't answer right away, I was getting anxious.

"It was---" she started to answer but then there was a blood-curdling scream, from downstairs. I knew that it was Ariel. I ran down the stairs, leaving Abigail. She came running behind me seconds later. I ran towards the kitchen the second she was down the stairs.

I saw why Ariel screamed, there in the kitchen fridge was Lillith's head. Kat came running into the kitchen from the living room. She didn't scream when she saw Lillith, she ran towards her sister and cried. They both fell to the ground crying on each other's shoulders. Abigail was in the doorway in seconds as soon as she saw Lillith she screamed as well. Then Kali and Morgan came walking in, Nathaniel followed behind Kali. Cessiel came walking in with Gabriel from the back yard. As soon as she saw Lillith's head, she turned and started to cry on Gabriel's shoulder. He looked at me, with a look of 'do you know who did this' I shook my head no. He gave a nod. I looked around and saw Abigail looking at everyone, she looked miserable, I hated seeing her this way.

Her eyes were turning pink from crying. I turned back to Ariel and Kat. "Come lets get you two way from here." I said keeping my voice calm. I put a hand under each of their arms, and helped them up. After I got them standing we started to walk towards the living room. I saw that Abigail wasn't in the doorway we were going to go through. She must have gone off to cry I will go and comfort her, when I see her. I thought to myself. I reached the living room doorway, with Ariel and Kat, and I stopped there.

Abigail stood by the far wall, with bloody sleeves. I wondered where the blood had come from because there was no other blood in the house then in Lillith's room. Which sadly was calling me to drink it. I hadn't eaten in three, four, five days. I don't know exactly, but it feels like an eternity. Abigail gave me and innocent smile, I felt concerned by the smile. But I continued to walk Ariel and Kat to the couch.

When I got them seated I knelt down by them again, and said to them "think of the good times you had with Lillith, and you will be laughing soon enough." They both gave me a nod. With that I stood up and turned to Abigail. I ran towards her, and grabbed her arm, gently, I pulled her out of the room. I pulled her into the hallway.

"What's on your sleeve?" I asked her, knowing what it was but I wanted to be sure I was right.

"Not here." She said looking towards the living room. I understood completely and pulled her towards the front door.

We reached the porch, I turned to look at her, and I saw her breath deeply. The fresh air seemed to calm her. She started to look better. But I had to know. "What's on your sleeve?" I asked her.

She looked at me then looked down and said, "Its...its...umm...blood."

I thought it over, where did she get the blood from she didn't touch anything in Lillith's room. She hadn't been around blood about as long as I did. I was also surprised that she didn't have the lingering thirst in her eyes like I did. I didn't even see it when she saw the blood everywhere.

"It was on the walls." Abigail said bringing me out of my trance.

"Why was it on the walls, Lillith was...killed in her room not the living room." I said not understanding how the blood had gotten there.

"It wrote something," she said, finally looking up at me. It worried me, because I still didn't understand whom, would do anything like this.

"It wrote, it wrote. 'You all aren't safe till I get Abigail.'" she continued. She started to cry. I couldn't take seeing her cry. I turned to look out into the night, She continued to cry, and I could fell her eyes watching me. Dracula must have someone working for him inside the house but who? I know it's not any of the girls or Gabriel because if it were him Cessial would have told me, or I would have noticed something. So that leaves Nathaniel or Prince.

I was lost in my thoughts for about twenty minutes, and then I heard a door close. I looked to see that Abigail had gone inside. She must have just gone to bed. I thought to myself, I stayed outside, thinking about the message on the wall. I didn't want Abigail to go, but I didn't want everyone to be in danger. Do I love Abigail enough to put everyone's life in jeopardy, to save her? To keep her away from Dracula. I felt that I did, but I care about them all. I love them all. I am in a dilemma.

I was brought of my thinking by a swift movement where I was looking at. There wasn't anyone there, but I swear I saw something. Something red moved by quickly.

Then I heard another movement, on the other side of the house. I looked in the direction of the right side of the house. I saw a figure, it looked like a woman, about Abigail's height. I blinked and the figure was gone. What was that? I ran into the house, I looked into the living room. Kat and Ariel had small smiles on their faces, now. I ran up the stairs and straight to Abigail's room.

I opened the door, and a wave of shock swept over me. Abigail's window was open. And she wasn't here, was she kidnapped, or worst she ran away. A breeze swept through the open window, and a piece of paper flew off her bed. I went and caught the paper out of the air. It was a letter from Abigail.

Dear Xavier,

I didn't want to leave, but I didn't want to but anymore lives in jeopardy because of me. I know who killed Lillith, and it was Prince, he's working for Dracula. And the only way to make sure that everyone stays safe is for me too leave, and hopefully Prince will leave along with me. I love you more then I can put on this paper or into words. I loved you the first time I saw you. I knew that I was suppose to be with you, forever. I also knew that I was right when you came and saved me from Dracula's castle, or well came to make sure I was alive. And didn't want to leave me with him. I love you, I will always love you. And I am leaving because I love you and I want to protect you. I love you, and don't you forget that.

XOXO

Abigail

I finished reading the letter and took off running out the window. I hit the ground, and I smelt her scent, I followed. After maybe two seconds of running I came to a mixed scent with hers. It smelt like, like, like Prince. I was enraged with anger. I ran full speed, when I finally saw her, she was standing at the gates of Draculas castle. As soon as I was about to run towards her to stop her, a dark shadow grew next to me, and swallowed me. Everything was dark, I felt like I was flying, I had no clue where I was going, but all I could think was that I need to escape out of this, and save Abigail.
