Shiganshina Apartment Complex, 22nd floor.

Estimated time of death : 5.19 PM.

Cause of death : Suicide, successful overdose attempt.

Age : 35

Name : Levi Ackerman.

At least that's what the black haired man imagines his death report would be by the time police or the landlord discover his dead body. A faint exhale escapes his lips, eyes shut in defeat, before he opens them again to stare at a handful of sleeping pills gathered in his palm.

He's better than this, he knows he's better than to take his own life and surrender.

If Erwin was here-

Right.. Erwin had left him alone to go to a better place 2 years ago. There's no point thinking about what that man would've done IF he was still here. Levi grieved, mourned, and blamed this damn world, while Erwin settled in his eternal resting place six feet under the ground without having to worry about anything. That's unfair, so unfair that Levi doesn't know if he should resent Erwin for leaving him so quickly or he should resent himself for not going after Erwin earlier.

So he stares at the pile of pills in his hand again, unfazed, as if he's just gonna snack on something on a random Tuesday.

Without thinking twice, Levi dumped the whole pile of meds into his gaping mouth, not caring if it'll block his airway, and quickly reached for the jug of water he prepared in advance to help him swallow the pills.

Why the fuck is it empty...? He's pretty sure he filled it up to the brim earlier while preparing the pills.

Determinated, the man rushes to his bathroom and positions his gaping mouth right under the running tap to drink down the accumulated pills in his mouth. He gagged once, twice, but he managed to swallow them even though his throat aches so bad. His hands fumbled to open the drawers under the sink, fishing out another bottle of the same sleeping pills, this time, he just dumped the whole content into his hands and gulped it down with the help of tap water. Unhygienic indeed, but if that's what it takes for him to go after Erwin in the afterlife, he'd do it.

Levi slumps against the sink drawer, panting and waiting for the sleeping pills to kick in and overdose. He waited.. and waited...

He-

"Delivery! Delivery for Levi Ackerman!"

well.. fuck..

He couldn't bear to open the door and greet the delivery man, hell, he didn't even order anything! Why would he order something when he's about to leave this world?

"Excuse me, sir?"

Levi clenches his fists in silence.

"Uh.. can we get this over real quick? I have other delivery orders too, you know. Please open up and receive this so I can finish the order tracking on the app. Your scones are gonna get cold, and I must say they smell tempting."

Silence..

He can hear the deliveryman sigh behind the door, "I'm working a part-time job here, and I got cram school too. Have mercy on me and let me finish this," the guy groans, "to think that I'm not paid enough for this thing.. unbelievable.."

The black haired man grasps his heart, he can feel it beating faster with every passing second. He gasps for air, and his body gives him so many alarms to throw it up, but he holds it in.

Levi gagged, loud, and slapped a palm over his mouth.

"..sir? Is everything okay?" Now the teenager deliveryman sounds concerned and confused, "you sound like you're having trouble with swallowing.. Are you choking right now?!"

'Damn kid...'

"Are you struggling to swallow food right now? Something got stuck in your throat? Wait, PLEASE DON'T TELL ME YOU'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF DEEPTHROATING SOMEONE-"

"Get lost!!" Levi manages to shout out despite his growing pain, his body surrenders to the cold bathroom tiles, seizures take over his body, cold sweat forming on his pale skin as he proceeds to hear the teenager deliveryman panicking outside his apartment door.

A bald head peeped in through the gap of the opened door, "oh it's unlocked.."

Not wasting any second, the bald deliveryman makes his way inside Levi's apartment, still carrying his big ass delivery backpack with him. He takes a long glance inside the apartment, it's not lavish, it's simple. but it screams RICH. The guy notices some framed photos on the wall, it was photos of a grumpy looking man, always alone in the photos, who seems to hate being on camera, his glare pierced through the photographs.

He whistled, "It's giving Kim Kardashian vibes for a second tho.. Sir? Pardon me for-"

His eyes landed on the bathroom, the door opened ajar, a man no taller than 5'3 wearing a long sleeved grey shirt and black trousers, curled up on the bathroom tiles unconsciously, his eyes half open, showing a bit of steel blue color under his eyelids. Some tiny white objects are scattered around his hand. Pills. And the deliveryman doesn't miss the fact that Levi's producing some sort of.. foam... from his mouth. This man clearly overdosed himself.

"Oh my god! Oh my god- fuc.. Okay this is the first time I see a dying customer, kinda nervous.. okay, stay calm."

Without thinking much, the bald guy dials an ambulance with shaky hands, "Hello, yes- hi. I'm delivering a food order to someone's address and he wasn't answering. The door was open, I got in, this man's unconscious and a white foam is coming out of his mouth as we speak. I think he overdosed.. I saw some pills scattered. He's breathing."

The bald delivery man nods a few times and proceeds to provide more information and address to the voice on the other line, "Please be quick, I know this man is dying but I'm also late for my cram school, if my mom finds out then might as well make it two people dying here."

"Alright sir the ambulance and our medical team are on their way, and who am I speaking with here?"
