Close Your Eyes

Looks can be deceiving,

So close your eyes tight.

Feel the world around you,

Instead of using your sight.

It the breeze soft and gentle,

Or blowing with all it's might?

Listen to the world,

Put your ears to the test.

The sound of someone's breath,

As they lie down to rest.

Car driving past,

Or those little flying pests.

Use your nose to direct you,

Use your sense of smell.

Sweet smelling flowers,

Or rotting eggshells.

Fresh hot pizza and rolls,

Who knows what it will tell.

Savor each taste,

That meets your tongue.

Each bite of food,

Words that are sung.

Each breath of air,

That escapes your lungs.

Looks can be deceiving,

So close your eyes.
