Dig Deeper

She said to dig deeper,

Though I doubt she meant like this.

I press the bade to my skin,

Ready to dig as deep as I can.

She said sometimes it's hard,

To see past all the ugly.

But searching through my soul,

I found that  I was empty.

Filled with hate and loss,

Feelings of betrayal,

No beauty is left inside me,

Nothing happy in my spirit.

Dig deeper, she said,

So that's what I'll to.

I'll dig in with this blade,

And never see daylight again.
