The alarm rang at 5:30 AM.
Vignesh slowly opened his eyes and looked out of the window. The sunrise painted the sky with shades of orange. He smiled softly.
Every morning started the same way.
He made his bed, watered the small plants outside his house, and helped his mother prepare breakfast before getting ready for college.
A neatly ironed black shirt.
A backpack filled with books.
His old bike waiting outside.
Before leaving, he never forgot to tell his mother,
"I'll be back soon, Amma."
She smiled.
"Ride safely, Vicky."
The roads were busy, but Vignesh never rushed.
He stopped for elderly people crossing the road.
He smiled at the tea shop owner every morning.
He even fed the stray dog waiting near the bus stop.
For him, kindness wasn't something special.
It was simply who he was.
As soon as he entered college, the campus became livelier.
"Good morning, Vignesh!"
"Hey, machi!"
He knew almost everyone-not because he was famous, but because he treated everyone with respect.
He helped juniors find classrooms.
He shared notes with classmates.
He explained difficult subjects without expecting anything in return.
Teachers admired his discipline.
Friends admired his simplicity.
During lunch, while everyone crowded around the canteen, Vignesh quietly sat under the old banyan tree.
Sometimes he listened to music.
Sometimes he read a novel.
Sometimes he simply watched the clouds drifting across the sky.
He wasn't lonely.
He just enjoyed peaceful moments.
After classes, he stayed back to help classmates finish assignments or prepare for exams.
Only when everyone had left did he start his bike and ride home.
His evenings were simple.
A cup of coffe with his parents.
A little studying.
He loves music because music is his world.
A walk under the moonlight before bed.
Every day looked the same.
Peaceful.
Simple.
Ordinary.
But destiny was quietly preparing to change his life forever.
He didn't know it yet...
Because tomorrow, someone named Nila would walk into his story.
