NOTES:

This script is R rated, this was not done intentionally and it isn't meant as a statement on what fnaf ""should be"" or whatever nonsense but rather was just the natural outcome of my writing style and creative sensibilities and I figured it would be pointless to compromise my style and write something that I wouldn't have fun writing for the sake of staying true to the PG-13 rating of the actual film.

The hypothetical casting is largely the same with the exception of Vanessa, Jeremiah, and Max. Vanessa here is envisioned as Julia Garner. Jeremiah is envisioned as Brian Tyree Henry. And Max is envisioned as McKenna Grace. It's not like it matters at all anyway since this isn't an actual movie, feel free to envision the original actors if you prefer them. This is just to give insight into my thought process and vision of this as a movie and how it influences how I portray them.

Since the original movie is widely criticized for not feeling enough like the game that does leave a huge question of how I want to approach this as an adaptation, and if I'm going to prioritize keeping close to the film we got or direct focus into staying super faithful to the first game. I landed on mainly staying pretty close to the films plotline and story since I think the plot and characters have a ton of potential that I want to properly realize. However, I do want to try and evoke the game more than the film did, especially with the atmosphere and tone, and there will definitely be more horror, but I do want to be clear that this is a rewrite of the Fnaf movie and not my own adaptation of the first fnaf game.

The continuity of this rewrite is following the same rules as the novel trilogy. Meaning that the wider world building and mythology is 1:1 to the games universe (and books) and will stay true to what we learn in the games and books. However, it is still a completely separate universe and not tied to the games at all so everything else such as story, characters, plot, general lore, etc are all subject to change and creative liberty, with supernatural mythology being the only thing that remains 1000% faithful.

No youtuber cameos. I'm sorry but that's just a step too far. I have to maintain at least a miniscule spec of dignity when writing about killer robot teddy bears........

Anyway, that's all.
