The midnight air was suffocatingly quiet. Inside the sleek black sedan, the only sound was the low hum of the engine as Min-jun, one of the Jin's bodyguard, navigated through the desolate streets. They had just wrapped up a high-stakes operation, taking down a human trafficking ring tied to a high-ranking politician and Jin was thoroughly exhausted.

Suddenly, a deafening roar shattered the silence.

A massive black motorcycle tore out from an intersection, deliberately slamming into the front bumper of the sedan. The car jolted violently. Before Min-jun could even put the vehicle in reverse, one of the riders leapt off the bike, raising a heavy wooden baseball bat, and brought it down with shattering force against the windshield. The glass spiderwebbed instantly. The second rider swung off his bike, a wicked, jagged knife gleaming in his hand. Both attackers were completely cloaked in black, their faces hidden behind black mask only there cold focused eyes were seen.

"Stay inside, Boss!" Min-jun yelled, but Jin was already moving.

They kicked their doors open simultaneously, stepping into the cool night air to handle the threat. The thug with the baseball bat charged straight for Min-jun. The bodyguard immediately threw up his arms, deflecting the heavy swings and fighting for control.

Meanwhile, the man with the knife lunged at Jin.

Jin didn't even blink. As the blade flashed toward his chest, he fluidly stepped to the side, the silk of his shirt whispering against the wind. The thug slashed again, but Jin moved like water, ducking under the blade, parrying every single strike with terrifying precision. Spotting an opening, Jin delivered a devastating, heavy kick directly into the man's stomach. The force of the blow lifted the thug off his feet, sending him flying backward several feet until he collapsed into a heap on the asphalt, coughing violently.

Just as Jin and Min-jun were about to subdue them completely, the roar of more engines echoed through the empty street.

Two more heavy black bikes tore around the corner, carrying four more masked men. They weren't here for the bodyguard. All four pairs of eyes locked instantly onto Jin.

Realizing he was being outnumbered and cornered in the open, Jin made a split-second decision. He took off down the quiet street, drawing the four new attackers away from Min-jun so his bodyguard could finish his fight. The heavy thud of combat boots chased him through the shadows.

Jin sprinted, his black blazer flapping behind him, until he turned a sharp corner and realised, that he had run straight into a dead-end alleyway. The space was narrow, lined with towering metal dustbins. A few stray cats sleeping in the darkness scattered, hissing loudly as the heavy footsteps disrupted the night.

It was pitch black, saved only by a flickering, broken streetlamp at the alley's mouth that cast long, ominous shadows. Jin turned around, his back against the cold brick. He was breathing heavily, but as he stood in the dim, chaotic light, he looked entirely unfazed.

Even amidst a brutal ambush, Seokjin looked drop-dead gorgeous. He wore a razor-sharp, tailored black blazer over a rich, crimson silk shirt unbuttoned slightly at the collar, paired with sleek black trousers that accentuated his long legs. The faint, dying light caught the sharp angle of his jawline and the luxurious sheen of the red silk, making him look like a dark, lethal prince.

Jin let out a breathless chuckle, a smirk dancing on his lips. There was no fear in his eyes.

"Now," Jin purred, his voice smooth despite the adrenaline. "Let's begin."

The largest thug rushed him with a heavy iron rod. Jin ducked his head low, dodging the lethal blow by mere inches. In a flash, he swept his leg, kicking the man squarely in his calf. As the thug stumbled, Jin ripped the rod right out of his grip and delivered a brutal hit to his leg, dropping him instantly.
