Summary: you are Clark's younger cousin from Earth and help him when Kara arrives.

Clark, my cousin through alien adoption, has been tracking his real cousin's space pod all day. Apparently her and Clark's home planet is dying or exploding somehow. I'm not too sure on the details, I just know it's sad and this girl, his cousin, is practically an orphan now. Clark says she's going to live with him though. I can't imagine my parental figure being Clark.

This is the most bizarre thing ever, so of course I agreed when Clark asked me to join him in acclimating his Kryptonian bio cousin to Earth. He says she's supposed to be around my age and wants me to be her friend.

"She better not replace me as your favorite cousin," I tell Clark half joking, half serious.

"I don't have favorites," Clark says, "I'll love you equally."

What a Clark thing to say.

This is like when you have an internal one sided competition with your cousin's cousins on the other side of their family, but so much weirder. I guess she'll be on my side though. She can be my ally against Clark's dad's side of cousins. Wait, they are cousins on his bio dad's side. I meant adoptive dad's side of cousins.

"Do you know what she looks like?" I ask Clark as we walk through the snow.

"Nope. I'll just assume it's her when I see an escape pod," he answers.

He doesn't know anything about his cousin. I mean, how could he? She literally lives on a different planet. Well, lived on a different planet.

"There it is!" He points to a silver ball in the sky headed towards the ground.

He runs towards the flying ball and I follow after him.

"Hey, slow down! We're not all superheroes ya know!" I yell, chasing after him.

He then stops, staring up at the space pod with his hands on his hips. I come up beside him and watch it land gently in front of us.

When Clark opens the pod, inside sits a girl in a silver space suit that covers her from head to toe. She looks up at us with striking blue eyes and a white puppy clutched in her arms. She looks so innocent and vulnerable. My heart aches for the poor girl. She lost her family, her whole planet, everything she knows. She lost her whole world. Other than her dog I guess.

"Hi there," Clark says to her.

God, he's such a dork.

She responds in a language I've never heard before. It never occurred to me she would speak a different language.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I don't... I don't speak Kryptonian," Clark says.

"I never- shoot. I-I wasn't raised there, so- I wasn't raised there- why am I talking louder?"

Dear lord. Captain Awkward to the rescue.

"Uh, let me help you," he offers her his hand but her puppy barks at him protectively.

The girl fusses at her dog in Kryptonian.

"Feisty little guy. He's cute. Is it okay if I," Clark offers her his hand again and she takes it, standing up.

She carefully steps out of the escape pod and stands just a bit shorter than me. She takes in her surroundings and her eyes land on Clark's ice hideout.

Clark has been running his mouth the whole time so I've yet to get a word in.

He finally turns around to walk towards the hideout and the girl looks him up and down curiously and says something in Kryptonian with a slightly judgmental tone. Although I can't understand her exact words, I know she's commenting on his super suit.
