Hawkmoth came back from the dead and found himself just standing in the middle of a forest, somehow still in his supervillian getup despite having lost the butterfly miraculous. He started to walk around, trying to look for his dead wife, Emilie. Then, after a little while, he suddenly and DRAMATICALLY bumped into Xie Lian, who was trash collecting. Xie Lian was pleasant outwardly, but inwardly suspected this guy of being a ghost or demon, so he remained skeptical. Hawk Moth was just confused to see a man dressed for Ancient China walking in Paris. Xie Lian decided give him a little test. He asked Hawk Moth if they could both form hearts with their arms, but secretly was checking to see if there was any evidence that he was wearing a fake skin, as most couldn't hold up under too much pressure. Hawkmoth evidently thought it was BULLSHIT, so he decided to stick his middle fingers up instead. Xie Lian quickly realized that his plan had backfired and determined that this guy, demon or not, was not interested in talking, so he politely fucked off. Hawkmoth just looked at Xie Lian like some sort of alien, before just turning away to see Lady Bug and Chat noir battling some sort of large creature. He knew he hadn't sent an akuma, for he had been dead for who knows how long before this. Was this creature an akumatized villian? A sentimonster? And if it was an akumatized villain, who had taken over while he was gone?
