The old mineshaft beneath Bikini Bottom echoed with laughter.

"Look out!" SpongeBob shouted as he jumped from one wooden platform to another.

Patrick stumbled after him, carrying a minecart over his head for no particular reason.

"I found treasure!"

SpongeBob peeked inside.

"...Patrick, that's a rock."

Patrick smiled.

"A special rock."

The two friends wandered deeper into the abandoned tunnels, pretending they were fearless explorers searching for ancient relics.

SpongeBob held up a toy compass.

"According to Captain SpongeBob's trusty navigator, the legendary Lost Lunchbox should be... this way!"

Patrick pointed in the opposite direction.

"My stomach says it's over there."

"Your stomach always says that."

"It has a good track record."

The pair burst into laughter before climbing onto an old minecart.

SpongeBob gave it a push.

"Wheeeeee!"

The cart rattled down the tracks, weaving through the dark tunnels before gently rolling to a stop.

Patrick climbed out. "You know..."

"What?"

"We've explored just about every cave, trench, and tunnel in Bikini Bottom... but I just want to go on more adventures! I know bikini bottom is our home but I wanna find more adventure because there is no more adventure in bikini bottom... not anymore!" Patrick said.

"Patrick, we had a lot of adventures here we got rid of jellians and we saved town by traveling outside of it to get a crown for Neptune so Mr. Krabs could be proven innocent and we went onto the surface to get the krabby patty formula back so Bikini Bottom could stop being an apocalyptic place and then we went to the lost city of Atlantis to bring Gary back home and...well your right we need to find another place to adventure..." Spongebob said.

"But where?" Patrick asked.

SpongeBob looked around.

Patrick wasn't wrong.

They'd searched abandoned shipwrecks, hidden caves, kelp forests, and these very mines dozens of times.

SpongeBob smiled. "I guess we have."

Patrick folded his arms. "No more adventuring in Bikini Bottom."

SpongeBob blinked. "No more?"

"We've already adventured all of it."

"...You know..." SpongeBob looked around the quiet mine. "...I think you're right." He sighed dramatically. "We've officially run out of adventures."

Patrick nodded. "We're unemployed adventurers."

The two sat quietly for a moment.

Then SpongeBob snapped his fingers. "Wait!"

"What?"

"We never checked the old foreman's office!"

Patrick gasped. "We've still got one adventure left!"

The two sprinted through the tunnels.

A weathered wooden door stood crooked on rusty hinges.

Above it hung a faded sign.
