Hello, my name is Jalin. Most people call me by my actual name, but I prefer to be called J sometimes. I'm just a normal student at Delview High School, in the tiny town of Riverside Point of Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Well, I was, until some crazy lady climbed into my window.
"Hey there! I bet you know an old friend of mine!" Her skin was a bleached white, and her demeanor was startling. "I'm Karen, and I will gladly help you with whatever you need."
I was baffled. How could someone so psychopathically crazy want to help me? I lashed out on her, and my eyes started to glow
The next day, when I got to school, I rushed to my friends, Lee and Xavi, to drag them into the instrument closet in the music room and tell them the crazy news.
"Ugh, not her again." Lee always seems to be annoyed about something, so I wasn't surprised.
"Aveeli, what is it? Are we in danger again?" Xavi is known to be extremely sensible and empathetic.
"Skylar, she talked to Karen! We are in danger!" I've never seen her like this, especially around him, her best friend. "J, could you please crash out on this guy?" She was suddenly calmed down.
"I don't think I can."
"J you need crash out right now!" She suddenly became infused with rage, which, again, was normal, since she was emotionally a hot mess.
I did something that I didn't think I was going to do. I let out my rage. "I'm lashing out on you, are you happy!"
"Oh, you got amethyst! Cool!" Lee and Xavi were in awe as their eyes glowed in unison. Lee's three eyes glow a bright jade green, and Xavi's have a golden yellow hue. "Now let's get you out of here!"
I've never seen these two in such unison before, especially since they were a couple of friends who would usually throw things at each other. We snuck out behind the school, preparing to sneak out across the river.
"We must swim across." Xavi pointed to the river.
"Why?" I was confused.
"This is the only way to that place we were talking about. There's no other way." Lee knew what she was going.
We escaped into the Delaware River, and were to never be seen again.
