(Before you dive into this, dear reader, it may be a good idea to familiarize yourself with the concept. If you wish to have a deeper understanding of these characters and this story I highly recommend you check out what I have posted on my instagram and character hub. There will be a lot of similar information but on my instagram there is a fully detailed timeline. I haven't changed much since I wrote this in April so whatever is on my instagram is probably the most up to date iteration. Don't worry, if you only read what is written here, there will be no lore inaccuracies. Obviously there will be spoilers so if you wish to go in blind be my guest. Now that you have been informed, grab a friend and maybe ring a therapist and enjoy this gorey, bloody masterpiece.)

Plot: Teenage killer-cannibal, Oliver, becomes infatuated with one of his victims and is thrown into a romantic dilemma. Is his desire to mutilate his perfect specimen stronger than his undeniable obsession? The book follows their gorey relationship and both of their descent into madness as they become dependent on each other. The more Oliver is consumed by Hunter the sloppier his kills get. Eventually he is caught as the police come knocking on the door in the middle of the night. In one last impulsive decision he runs to find Hunter and convinces him to make a suicide pact. Hunter takes this opportunity to escape the hell he has been living and agrees, only to kill Oliver and free himself from the boys torment for good. The end. :p (can you tell this is heavily inspired by these violent delights)

Exposition: Hunter and Oliver attend a little highschool in a little town somewhere in Tennessee. It's the fall of 1989 and Hunter is placed into a different biology class after his original teacher resigned to grieve his son who mysteriously disappeared last month. He had been one of the five teenage boys to go missing that year. Tension in the town was high for they had yet to catch the culprit. Hunter was happy to have a distraction from all the chaos, that distraction being the sweet boy he was sat next to. Oliver was all that one could ask for in a friend. Although he was a little nerdy and very pimply, he was awfully kind. Hunter had been having a hard time at home too, so the two of them quickly strike up a friendship, although Oliver is not all he seems to be.

Rising action:
After a couple weeks Hunter finally gets the courage to ask if they can hang out outside of school. Oliver is thrilled that he didn't even have to ask first. The two of them go on a late night walk together and Oliver generously offers snacks and drinks that Hunter gladly helps himself to. As they venture deep into the forest, Hunter begins to feel dizzy. He tells Oliver he doesn't feel well and Oliver helps him lay down. Once he is on the ground Hunter grows extremely sleepy, but he doesn't quite doze off. In this weakened state Oliver reveals his true intentions and pulls out a knife, repeatedly stabbing Hunter in the stomach, arm, and shoulder. Oliver made sure his victims would not die immediately so he could have his way with them before discarding the body, although this time something came over him. He was staring down at Hunter's still body and felt an overwhelming attachment. Suddenly he panicked and felt like the world would cave in if Hunter died. He did his best to patch up his wounds and hoped it wasn't too late.

When Hunter comes to Oliver is standing over him with a distressed expression. Oliver tries to convince Hunter that there was an accident while they were hiking and Oliver saved him, but Hunter remembers what actually happened even if it was vague. At this point Hunter has put two and two together, realizing that Oliver has been the one killing boys in the town. When Hunter is rightly terrified and tries to leave Oliver goes full panic mode. He gets on his knees and starts begging, crying, and profusely apologizing. He professes his undying love for Hunter (which was kind of out of no where) and he swears he will kill himself if Hunter ever leaves him. He promises to give Hunter whatever he wishes as long as he stays and doesn't tell on Oliver. Hunter hesitantly agrees because of his attachment issues and immediately is concerned about what he just agreed to.
