Kidnapped

Chapter One.

Cases of teens kidnapped- You read it in the papers, you see it on the news and you even hear about it on the radio. But nobody actually pays the slightest attention to these cases. Or, maybe, they don't want to. I mean, who wants to believe they are unlucky enough to be the next victims to these sneaky bastards? Kayla was one of them, and now she was paying the price for her carelessness. Kayla Rhodes is kidnapped.

->Kayla's POV

I looked around in the darkness,but there was no one there. The time now was approximately 11 in the night. It was getting late. A small breeze blew pass, I shivered. Maybe I should've worn a jacket or something. After staring into the darkness for what seemed like forever, I sighed. 'Forget it,' I thought to herself.I wasn't going to stick around any longer. And it was time to face my family. With that, I got up and brushed myself, making my way to the sidewalk silently.

The walk back home was silent, too silent. But I didn't pay attention to that. I was too absorbed in what my parents would say when they found out what I've done.  All I could hear was the dry leaves crumbling beneath her feet and the crickets humming. I was halfway back when a van sped past me. What the hell was that? I yelled, “What the fuck, dude, slow down.”

Then, suddenly, someone grabbed me from the back. I squirmed and tried to scream but a hand is slapped across my mouth. I bit down at the hand, and he cursed. It was a guy. I tried to run away, but he grabbed my hand and pressed a metallic object pressed against my head. A gun.

Now, what would be the first reaction when a gun is pointed at your head? Wow, awesome gun buddy. Where did you get that from. And then reality hits. It smacks you straight in the head and you start to panick. And you don't even do the smart things, like running away or screaming for help. You do what most idiots would do, stand there and just gape at the gun. Then realisation hits. I try to fight and I almost screamed. That's when he said,

“Don't do it.”

He said calmly, almost like asking, "how's the weather today," except he was gonna kidnap me, but I recgonised a tint of laughter. Clearly, he was enjoying it. But then, they all did. If they didn't, why would they do something as stupid as this? My stomach churned. I felt sick. I felt disgusted at this bastard. But I felt even more disgusted with myself.

“Don't scream or I'll shoot.” He repeated. Clearly enjoying his power over me. I gulped and nodded, completely ignoring the saying that your kidnappers fear you more than you fear them. The guy grabbed me and shoved me roughly into the back of the van. I was greeted by a few guys. The van door slammed shut with a defiant bang.  The engines rumbled, and tires squealed. And there goes my freedom.

On the happier note, at least now I didn't have to get in trouble right? Tsk.
