Chapter 1

The afternoon sun hung low over the city as Taru Sengupta, a 21-year-old omega, hurried through the school gates with his bag slung over one shoulder.
His black hair was messy from another exhausting day.
And another day of being bullied.
"Hey, Taru!"
A voice called from behind.
Before he could escape, two figures blocked his path.
The infamous twins.
Leone Valenti and Leo Valenti.
Both were powerful alpha siblings from wealthy families, feared by most students. Leone was a beautiful and confident woman with crimson eyes, while Leo was her equally handsome twin brother.
Leone leaned against the wall and smirked.
"You're avoiding us again, little omega."
Leo grinned.
"You know, we'd treat you well if you accepted one of us."
Taru groaned.
"Not this again."
Leone grabbed his wrist.
"Why not? I think we'd make a great pair."
Leo immediately objected.
"No. He should choose me."
The twins started arguing.
Taru pulled his wrist free.
"I choose neither."
The twins froze.
Leone blinked.
Leo looked offended.
"What?"
"I said no."
Taru walked away before they could stop him.
Behind him, the twins stared.
Neither looked angry.
If anything, they looked even more interested.
School finally ended.
Taru sighed as he walked through the busy streets.
His family wasn't poor, but money was always tight.
His parents paid for school.
His parents bought his clothes.
But Taru wanted things of his own.
A phone.
His favorite spicy snacks.
And most importantly...
BL romance novels.
Lots of them.
His bookshelf was embarrassingly empty.
"I need a job..."
As he wandered through town, a poster caught his attention.
Workers Needed Excellent Salary Accommodation Available
His eyes widened.
"Excellent salary?"
Without hesitation, Taru memorized the address.
An hour later, he stood before a massive modern mansion.
The gates alone were taller than a house.
The property looked less like a home and more like a fortress.
Taru swallowed nervously.
"Who lives here...?"
Still, money was money.
He entered.
Inside, nearly twenty applicants were already waiting.
Everyone stood in a neat line.
At the front stood an elderly gentleman.
His silver hair was perfectly combed.
His posture was elegant.
This was Leonard.
The chief butler of the mansion.
Beside him stood a woman with glasses and a cold expression.
Daisy.
Assistant manager.
She looked capable of making grown men cry.
"Next."
"Garden work."
"Accepted."
"Kitchen work."
"Accepted."
One by one, applicants were selected.
Taru waited patiently.
Eventually...
The list ended.
Daisy checked her clipboard.
"We are finished."
The remaining applicants groaned.
Including Taru.
He wasn't chosen.
His shoulders dropped.
"So much for the salary..."
With disappointment, he turned toward the exit.
Then-
BOOM!
The mansion doors slammed open.
Everyone jumped.
A terrifying aura flooded the room.
Silence followed instantly.
Footsteps echoed.
Slow.
Heavy.
Dangerous.
A tall woman entered.
Half of her hair was sky blue.
The other half was black.
A sky-blue wolf tail swayed behind her.
Matching wolf ears stood proudly atop her head.
Her right eye was white.
Her left eye was sky blue.
She wore an expensive black suit with silver details and elegant black gloves.
Her expression was ice cold.
The atmosphere itself seemed to freeze.
This was-
Mimi Itoh.
Twenty-four years old.
Alpha.
Head of the Itoh Family.
A mafia boss feared across the city.
Ruthless.
Cold.
Terrifying.
Today, she looked especially angry.
The servants immediately lowered their heads.
Nobody dared speak.
Nobody dared move.
Mimi strode through the hall.
Her heels clicked against the marble floor.
Everyone avoided eye contact.
Everyone except one person.
Taru.
Not because he was brave.
Because he was confused.
Mimi suddenly stopped.
The room became even quieter.
Slowly...
She turned her head.
Her mismatched eyes landed on Taru.
For several seconds, neither moved.
Leonard blinked.
Daisy froze.
The servants exchanged shocked glances.
Mimi never looked at strangers.
Never.
Yet she stared directly at Taru.
The omega awkwardly scratched his cheek.
"Uh..."
Mimi said nothing.
Her gaze remained unreadable.
Then she turned away.
Without a word, she continued down the hallway and disappeared into her study.
The moment she left, everyone released the breath they had been holding.
Leonard looked stunned.
Daisy looked even more shocked.
The old butler slowly adjusted his glasses.
"Incredible..."
Daisy nodded.
"Lady Mimi noticed him."
"First time I've ever seen that."
Taru pointed at himself.
"Me?"
Leonard smiled kindly.
"Young man."
"Would you be interested in becoming Lady Mimi's personal maid?"
Taru's eyes widened.
"Personal maid?"
Daisy folded her arms.
"The salary is three times higher."
Taru froze.
"THREE TIMES?"
Leonard chuckled.
"You will receive meals, accommodation, and payment."
Taru imagined stacks of BL novels.
A brand-new phone.
Unlimited spicy food.
His eyes sparkled.
"I ACCEPT!"
Leonard laughed.
"Excellent."
Daisy sighed.
"Let's hope you survive."
Taru blinked.
"...Survive?"
Neither Leonard nor Daisy answered.
Somewhere deep inside the mansion...
Mimi Itoh sat alone in her study.
For the first time in years, the ruthless mafia boss wasn't thinking about business.
She was thinking about a certain black-haired omega.
And that fact alone was enough to surprise her.
