Eric was at work still, it was 8:30, he should've left over two hour ago. He was the last one still there. He had to lock up the shop. He works at a dealership in the middle of Seattle. They don't normally work to late and close up even earlier on the weekend, which it was.
They really don't pay enough for this shit.
Since he was the last one there, he could listen to music, so he had his left one in.
He didn't care for working so late, but he didn't really have a choice because if he quit now, he wouldn't be able to pay for his rent or food.
He looks at the wall clock and sees that it's almost 9 PM now. He decided to close up now and finish the little bit he had left on the brakes. As he was dropping the garage door, he saw from the corner of his eye, someone running and then rolled under the door at the last second.
Eric didn't know what to think, who does that, more importantly, why?
"Ugh, can I help you? Shops closed."
The guy stood up, he was wearing a black hoodie, no zipper. The hood was pulled up and over his head. His face was hard to make out from the dim lights in the shop. He started walking towards Eric, the door now closed.
"Sir, did you not hear me?" Eric asked.
The man lunged at Eric, Eric fell on his back with the man straddling him. The man pulled a decent sized pocket knife out and flicked it open with his thumb and shoved the entire blade into his neck. Blood poured out over the man's hand and all over the floor of the shop. He pulled the knife out and wiped it on Eric's coveralls and put the knife back in his pocket and opened the garage door all the way and walked out.
