The world is a massive stage, and they were cast in two entirely different plays.

He leaned against a damp brick wall of a dark alley, the neon sign of a nearby club flickering against his cold, unreadable eyes. His knuckles were bruised, fresh from another meaningless street fight, but he didn’t care. Physical pain was nothing compared to the absolute numbness inside him.

They didn't know it yet, but the gears of fate had just turned. Two separate worlds were spinning fast on a crash course toward each other. And when they finally collide, nothing—and no one—will ever be the same again.
