Episode 1

Adelina was inside her room as usual; she was comfortable there. She loves socializing, yet it drains her. So she was laying on her bed, staring at the window. The fresh wind touched her face, and it was cold. The trees were dancing, the river in front of their house looked beautiful, and the flowers surrounding their backyard were stunning.

Adelina rested her face on her arms on the window frame, appreciating the beauty of nature.

Adelina: How I wish I could find a man who loves nature too... (she smiles)

Her wish was simple, simple enough to be granted.

There was a whole forest behind their house. It was scary at night but beautiful during the day, so she decided to go and explore it.

Adelina: The forest looks great today. I want to look like a fairy or a lost princess, anyway, so maybe I should go and relax.
She jumped out of her bed and put a white cardigan over her pastel green fairy dress. She only put sandals on her feet, and she stepped outside to explore.

Adelina: Wow, look at these tall trees and green grass.

She skipped along on her adventure. She was very happy. She closed her eyes to feel nature embracing her and let herself fall into the fresh grass blooming with little flowers. It was like snow, but warmer and cozy.

Adelina: I would die for this experience, I'm not gonna lie. Gosh, look at these little flowers; they are so cute (while fidgeting with the flowers).

While she was playing with the flowers, she noticed a tree behind them. It was a tall tree, just like the others, but there was something different about it. It was almost like it was special. Adelina inspected it, walking around it until she found something.

Adelina: This looks like a door. Why does it have a door handle? What is this??

Adelina was confused. To satisfy her curiosity, she slowly opened the door, holding the handle. A white light was escaping from it. She opened it thoroughly, and she saw another forest on the other side.

Adelina: What?? Is this even possible? What would happen if I went through?

She stepped in to continue her adventure. The forest had a different aura from the other side; it was like the opposite-darker, creepier-but something in her wanted to stay and explore it.

Adelina: Wow, this looks different than our forest. Is this a new dimension?

She walked and walked until she reached a road. She was in the middle of it, still confused with everything. While she was standing there, a car was heading toward her. The loud horn woke her from her daydreaming.

Adelina: Oh... Goodness....
Adelina thought it was too late, but luckily, the car stopped in time, and the door opened, revealing a woman and a man. While she was scared, the two helped her to get up.

Woman: Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Are you okay? Are you hurt somewhere?

Man: I think she looks okay... but why are you here?

Adelina looked up.

Adelina: I'm lost... I think.

Man: C'mon, let's take her to the hospital just to be sure.

Woman: Yeah. Good idea. Let's go.

And they carried her to the passenger seat in the car, and the man started driving.

Woman: I'm Elena Gilbert, and this is Stefan, by the way. What is your name?

Elena asked her, looking at her in the mirror.

Adelina: My name is Adelina.

She was still scared of what was happening and processing it.

Elena: So, Adelina, do you have any idea why you were there in the middle of the road?

Adelina: I was exploring the forest when I came here, and I don't know where I am... Where is this place, by the way?

Stefan: You are in Mystic Falls. It is not safe exploring the forest at this hour, so we better get you home after taking you to the hospital.

Elena: Are we there yet, Stefan?

Stefan: Well, yes, we are here.

They got out of the car and took Adelina for a checkup.

Nurse: She's fine, no injuries or any illness.

Elena: Really? Thank God.

Stefan: Maybe we should go now. You know Elijah will be very mad if he sees you going around here outside.

Elena: Yes, but how about her?

The two fetched Adelina, and they went into the car again.

Elena: Do you remember where you live?

Adelina: I'm not from here.

Elena: Wait, what do you mean?

Adelina: Can you take me in for a while? I don't have a house to go home to.

Elena: Well, that's fine with me, but how old are you again? You look young.

Adelina: I'm 19 years old (she awkwardly smiles).

Stefan: Oh, she's older than you, Elena; that's interesting (he smirked).

Elena looked at Stefan with an annoyed stare.

Stefan: I don't mean anything.

They were laughing about it until something came into the middle of the road. Stefan immediately slammed the brakes, and when the view was clearer, Adelina saw a man, an intimidating man.

Elena: It's Elijah.

Elijah: Oh, hello to you two (He smiles).
Then Elijah walked toward the car window where Stefan was sitting.

Elijah: Would you mind giving me a ride? (He raised his eyebrows, keeping the intimidating stare.)

Stefan, stunned by his appearance, nodded.

Stefan: Umm... Yes, of course.

Elijah opened the door and saw Adelina looking a little freaked out. Elijah sat next to her, but he couldn't help but look at her. He was curious as to who this lady beside him was.

Elijah: And what is this lady doing here with you two when I remember telling Elena to stay inside the house and avoid going outside?

Stefan: You know, Elijah, stop being like a strict parent. We're just grabbing essentials.

Elena: Yes, Elijah, you don't have to be overdramatic. And we saw her in the middle of the road, just like you. She was wandering around, and we decided to take her to my house since she doesn't know where she lives.

Adelina was looking at Elijah like she'd seen a new type of flower in the forest. She didn't know if it was dangerous or normal and pretty just like the other flowers around it, or maybe both?
Elijah noticed Adelina staring at him, so he stared back and fixed his posture, facing toward her.

Elijah: Do I look so outrageous to you, Dear?

Adelina: No... you look... are you a vampire?
Elena and Stefan looked at each other; they were surprised and confused by what she said, but they chose to be silent.

Elijah: What if... I said... yes?

Adelina, still staring at him, scared.

Adelina: umm I hope not?

Elijah smirked, nodded, and turned his head toward her.

Elijah: What is your name, Dear?

Adelina was about to answer when the car brakes surprised them all. Adelina was about to bump her head, but Elijah put up his hand and caught her head just in time.
