On opposite sides of the room ... I am orbiting you
If you could keep the score the same way soccer does, then you'd know Yoon Jiwon always made sure hers would've looked a lot like the perfect scoreline, her grades impeccable, curated herself quite the perfect college experience so far, and here she is trying to live a pretty good life mostly, or at least that's the goal here. Which made the fall a lot harder to land onto reality once it did, and god did it hurt. Seriously, imagine this, you are at the top of your game, cheers all around you, voices chanting all over your name, and you'd think you're doing amazing but then a red card, Jiwon's roommate is moving out, another step in his relationship, whatever. They are getting pretty serious about, or at least as serious as twenty one year olds in a relationship can get. Daiyu wants me to move in with her, Seowan tells her one day, and like that Jiwon's out the game, Seowan's out the door, game's over, two weeks into the semester and she has lost. Her best friend turned roommate has left, and a two bedroom apartment is something she cannot afford entirely on her own with just her part time job earnings anymore. Okay, moving on, her game play here is... wait, there is no next game plan. I mean, sure she's done it all, scrolling through some listings on her phone, last minute anxiously searching for a new roommate, and there are some good prospects in mind, but it's just hard to find the right one okay? Especially when her schedule seems to be filled up to the maximum with all her classes, work shifts, soccer practices, and the thought of ever roomating with someone like Jiwon was very much nauseating, because what kind of a decent girl just chooses to roommate with a boy, a boy with a girlfriend at that. I'll tell you which kind? A normal one. Seriously, women and men can totally coexist living together. It's totally a normal thing, so let's just get with the program, and kill all old prejudices while we are at it okay? Back to the apartment thing though, maybe she should just kiss it goodbye, right? Find something else for good. Something more affordable, maybe. But then again, Jiwon isn't entirely sure what her next game plan might turn out to be, and she doesn't to jump in without a strategy, and Seowan, he is quite the opposite here. Plus he feels pretty guilty about it. It's fine though, she thinks. Sure if he had mentioned this before she could have enough time to figure out something else. But, still she is really happy for him, Daiyu is great. But a quick heads up would have been nice.
