Manchester looked nothing like Bristol.
Maybe that was the point.
The rain hit the train windows in uneven streaks as I tightened my grip around the strap of my bag, staring at the unfamiliar city blurring past outside.
New city. New university. New life.
That was the plan, anyway.
The train slowed down as it reached its destination. Manchester. I grabbed my bag and my suitcases to get off the train. The chilly air brushed against my body as I got out of the train.
"What a cold day today!" I mumbled as I fixed my Wine turtleneck top and my black bootleg pants, and started to walk my way out of the station. The train started moving slowly as it blared its horn.
"Manchester! I'm finally here... It's time to start a new life away from my past." I said as I sighed, looking at the tall buildings surrounding me. I booked a taxi to get to my university. It was just a 15 minute ride from the station to the uni. I was scrolling on my phone throughout the ride to see if there were any important things I should know before stepping into a place that is completely new to me.
There was a community on Reddit- "WestConnect" where all the info, gossip, and trending matters are discussed by the students of Westbourne. I eventually joined it to fit in. That's where I found out about a guy named Asher. Asher Sincair. Apparently, he's been the campus heartthrob since 2025, when he joined. He's in the 2nd year of Graphic designing.

"Are they being fr? Why are all these posts just about him?! I'm trying to get some information!!
