What if Subaru was crafty

the beginning?

"That's how they rope you into the story." Subaru natsuki said as he shut one of them and placed it back onto the shelf. Subaru was a young black haired male, he wore a black, white and orange tracksuit. He was of an unremarkable build.

Subaru walked over to the counter with a pack of gum, a bag of chips, and some candy in his hands. The cashier put them into a bag and handed them to him. He paid for them and left the store.

Subaru had the strangest feeling, it was as if something crazy was about to happen. 'I need to stop spending all nighters' Subaru thought as he looked around, everything was weird looking. Everything looked blurry and strange.

"...I love you..." Subaru heard a female voice say, he brushed it off as himself just hearing things.

'Man I really need to get home quickly.' Subaru thought as he rubbed his eyes, when he opened them an incredible sight appeared before him.

He was in what seemed to be a medieval city, there were large crowds of people walking around, some had bunny ears, fur, etc.

"Ehhh, wait a minute, I got isekaied?" Subaru was ecstatic at this fact. He started jumping up and down. He immediately began to explore the city.

"Hey man no humans allowed." A Demi human said grabbing Subaru and throwing him out of a bar. Subaru didn't really care that much.

"Hmm I guess I'll be one of those protagonists that slowly but surely gets stronger." Subaru said as he walked through the city. He got himself into quite a lot of trouble, accidently going into a women's restroom filled with Demi human women. Subaru quickly ran out of the restroom.

Eventually he found himself at a market district. There was a man with green hair selling apples. Subaru decided not to buy anything and walked away.

Subaru found himself in an alleyway, he sat down on a set of stairs, laying down his bag.

"Hey man cough up everything you got right now." Subaru looked up. There were 3 people, a large fat brown haired man, a guy who looked like a snake and wore rags with a collar. There was even a tiny little guy that had brown hair and strange clothes.

"I don't have anything I could offer you guys. But if you want a fight I'll gladly give it to you." Subaru stood up and walked towards The three men. The men were scared of Subaru, probably because he was casual about possibly fighting three people at once.

"Now I've got a question for you guys. Which one of you wants the first beating." Subaru said as He popped his knuckles. The thugs seemed unwilling to fight him, or so Subaru thought.

The big thug tried to swing down on Subaru with a wild haymaker, Subaru was able to dodge it and rushed forward punching the man in the jaw. The man fell to the ground seemingly unconscious. The next one to try to attack Subaru was the tiny one, Subaru kicked him in the face and sent him flying into the alley wall.

Subaru prepared to rush down the middle guy when suddenly he pulled out a knife. 'If this is the first battle I'll have to face there's no point in holding back.' Subaru thought as he grabbed the knife out of the man's hand. There was a shallow wound on subarus palm since he grabbed it by the blade.

"Now what? I've taken away your weapon." Subaru chuckled but was taken by pure shock. Subaru had slashed at the air with the knife. The knife seemingly dissapeared into a blue and white hole. The hole disappeared . Before Subaru could find out what that was, he felt something cold sink into his gut. The man had pulled out a knife while Subaru was distracted and stabbed him in the gut.

Subaru fell to the ground rolling around in pain. After an extremely long 20 seconds of pain, Subaru heard a female voice.

"What are you doing to that man." A white haired girl said as the thug ran away.
