Abby woke with a smile on her face. She stretched, yawned and rolled while her hand felt around. Her eyes shot open.

She was alone.

Alone in her bed. She'd left Nick's place at 1 a.m as she always do. It was against the rules. Hers mainly. They never woke in each other's beds. They were never apart of each other's personal life outside of their agreement.

She moaned, more on the disappointing side, and got up heading into her bathroom. She'd brushed her teeth and headed out to the kitchen where her best friend Milan had already started on breakfast.

"Someone got banged last night." The six-feet-one model teased as he flipped omelette in a frying pan.

She had met Milan Munroe on the brink of dropping out of high school and her third attempt at running away from another foster home. They'd became best of friends immediately. Milan was the spoiled, rich, bad boy and she was the shy troubled teen. A cliched duo if she do say so herself now looking back. Now thirteen years later, Milan was one of the most successful and saught after models while she had finished her studies and started her own successful catering business. They shared an apartment on the upper East side, not that Milan was home much. He'd often travel for work or stayed out late for high paying jobs or partying till sun came up or down.

Abby smacked at his arm playfully as she got out her fruits and carrot juice. She no longer had an appetite and wandered if Nick had grabbed coffee or had a healthy breakfast before leaving for work.

"You weren't even here when I got home and that was after 2a.m this morning" Abby defended.

"Practice shoot ran late and I happened to read from one those magazines that the worlds most eligible bachelor was back in the city. Mr. Tall Dark and sinfully dangerous." Giving his omelette another flip he turned off the burner, satisfied. "And you got on the fuck-me-till-I-can't-breathe face with the messy hair combo."

Abby choked on her juice as he busted into hysterical laughter. She wiped her spills and sat. "It's that obvious?" she then frowned.

"Baby girl, that man leaves a glow on you," he said as-a-matter-of-fact. "I've seen how he reacts when other men is around you and you know that man wants more than just some contract fling in the sheets with you."

"Well, too bad. I can't offer more." she stated got up and went to the sink.

" It's not that you can't, Abbigail, you refuse to." Milan knew his friend and he knew when she was being evasive, especially when this conversation came up. "I know what you're afraid of, I don't trust it too. But you should see how he looks at you."

"You two haven't even met." she rolled her eyes. "You cannot vouch for him just cause you like him."

"Not officially" he shrugged. "But, I do know you and I do see you wherever this man is concerned."

"Whatever, I'm not gonna be one of those love sick girls who always ends up wanting more. No time when there's money to be made Milan Munroe." she brushed the topic aside. "Anyways, I won't be able to do lunch with you today I got a tight schedule with two weddings and a cooperate dinner. I got Kim on vacation and my assistant is expecting soon so she's been demanded to take things easy. Although she refuses to leave I'm not having her do much."

"What time you getting home?" he asked. "Cause I wanna do something later ... brain storming, and I don't want to disturb you."

"Who is she?" Abby rolled her eyes, she knew his tricks to well. Wherever this man went a string of women was sure to follow.

"I think her name is Sheila, no Lila ... Something like that, she's the new swim suit model, she asked for a bit of one on one to learn some poses." he winked leaving the room.

Abby shook her head and laughed.

She had a hour and half extra before work and needed to fill it.

Sighing heavily she made her way back to her bedroom to get ready for work. Forty-five minutes later she was ready.  She glanced at herself in the large hall mirror. Light blue ripped denim, white shirt with red heels,  she'd straightened her hair and did a high top bun and added a little makeup.

She called Milan before she left for approval.

"I told you, you should've taken up modeling as an career, no wonder the man is nuts for you."

"You're nuts for me as it is already." She winked and blew him a kiss.

"That's right. I'll text you throughout the day so keep your phone close by. Be safe out there."
